I hired Galina for 2 projects, the first project was to spruce up a dated home for sale. Her vision for this project was amazing, no detail was missed and she found some great practical and affordable solutions for some issues. She then designed a home office for me, stayed within the budget and turned an old room into an oasis. She is a perfectionist in the sense that she will do everything to ensure her client is satisfied.

Galina’s service went beyond my expectations . She staged my home to show in its best light . Changes were made that I couldn’t have envisioned myself. We recently relocated to Calgary and purchased a home that needed some minor renovations, new furniture and decor…but we knew that we needed help. We searched for Calgary designers online and read thru the reviews on The Best of Calgary and found Galina Hughes Interior Design. We were impressed by her involvement in a HGTV episode. We initially had Galina provide us with a design consult and were very pleased. In only 2 hours, she had listened carefully to what we wanted to do with our space, what we liked and disliked, and quickly returned to us a beautiful design plan that we loved. From there, we asked her to complete a full design plan that included designing a new pantry and sourcing the mill work, budget friendly options for refacing a tile fireplace, sourcing new living and dining room furniture, custom drapery and wall art, and upgraded lighting.Galina worked meticulously to provide us with detailed plans including an autocad layout of our living room and pantry so we could see how it would look. She sourced trusted vendors and obtained quotes, provided regular updates on time frames and budget, and worked tirelessly at finding decor items for home that were reasonably priced yet stunning. As we were doing all this during Covid, Galina was able to complete all projects within four months which was amazing…and we were even able to purchase some customized furniture during this time. At the end, we went away for a night and returned to our home completely styled and transformed! It was like being on an episode of HGTV and it was reveal day!We absolutely love our home!! We highly recommend Galina for any project you may have. She is incredibly talented and has an amazing sense of style and can work within any budget. Galina provides exceptional value across all elements of design, sourcing, expediting and styling!!
