Dr. MacEwan took fabulous care of me and my ankle which required three separate surgeries from July 2019-June 2023. His bedside manner was amazing, and he was always understanding, and empathetic. His team was always extremely helpful and made me feel so much less nervous. I am healing as we speak from the last surgery and I'm so excited to get out in the world again and go for long walks like I used to! None of this would have been possible without MacEwan and his team! Thank you so much!

6 months ago I suffered a significant injury to both my knees - a bilateral patellar tendon rupture. Boom!! Needless to say, I was down and out. I remember feeling so angry that this happened and worried about all my responsibilities and dependents. My legs were taken out from under me. I was hurt pretty bad and I was scared. Post-surgery I contacted Austin at Quinte Orthopedics. We started the day the surgeon gave us the go ahead. For 2 hours a day, 3 days a week over 5 months I showed up and we worked together. I’m happy to say that I’m back on my feet and doing very well. It’s hard to put into words the impact that Austin and his team had on me during this tough time. Starting with Taylor and the crew at the front desk - thank you so much for the kind smiles and well wishes as I hobbled in and out of the office. You were all so helpful and I could feel that you genuinely care. To Nicole and your team at The Fitting Room - thank you for your patient, calm, caring attitude. You guys know your stuff. I knew I was in good hands. To Sarah and Maggie - on my tough days it was so helpful to see your smiling faces and have a quick chat. Thank you both for all your help and support. To Brandon and Megan - your positive attitudes are contagious. You are both pros. Thank you for your friendship. And finally to Austin - from way down deep, Thank-you. I will never forget your kindness, your sense of humor, your great tastes in music and your companionship throughout this journey. Your positive/consistent approach to my rehab was so appreciated. You have a way of keeping it light but the work always gets done. You are very good at your job.5 stars from this guy. Thank you all so much.

Reception did not tell me to go to the Sidney St location and I ended up at the Dundas St location across from the hospital.Dr McEwen had horrible beside manner. Argued with me about my injury and blamed my pain and injury on an existing autoimmune disorder that has nothing to do with the injury and the information he has on my auto immune disorder is incorrect. He also argued that there was zero separation from my big toe and 4 other toes when the 1 gap is clearly visible.Do not recommend him to anyone."
