Jason completed the removal and installation of a chimney unit on our A frame cottage. The work was complicated because of various angles, inside the building, and the work outside was on a very steep roof. His quote was fair, the work was done with safety in mind, and was completed in a timely way. He was pleasant and honest with us. He was smart and knowledgable about what needed to be done. Excellent does not adequately describe his work. We were very pleased to have found him and would not hesitate to recommend him.Stan

I would highly recommend Jason and his crew, very professional and goes above and beyond to answer any questions and give advice long after the service was completed!!! We will only have Jason (Independent cleaning) to look after our wood stove needs and clean and service our furnace and ducts!!

First of all, it took a week for him to return my call, He told me he power brushes the chimney and would do a wet inspection for another 50 bucks. When he inspected the chimney, he said there was enough creosote for a 5 minute chimney fire. But then he did not power brush it, he just jiggled his vacuum hose down the chimney and said that was good enough. He then could not get the upper part of my stove out to suck out the soot so he just left it. It hasnt burned properly since. His wet inspection included shaking my chimney, trying to see if it was loose, and then just measuring the distance from the wall. That was it.I made the mistake of paying him by cheque when he was done, he said he would send my invoice and the wett inspection certificate, as to date, i havnt received either. It was done in october and its now mid Feb.,He didnt really seem to care about his job at all i thought. I would not recommend him to anyone. Its the old saying, if you want something done right, Do it yourself and thats what i will do next time. Tim Brown.

Jason did a cleaning, inspection, and an insert installation at a 65+ year old cabin. I was impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and work ethic. It was clear that he wanted to do the best job possible. We'll definitely use him again, and highly recommend his services!

This was the worst experience Ive had with a contractor!! Initially friendly until my husband and I were locked in, then became unresponsive, didn't show up, and I believe is a scammer. I ended up calling Chim Chimney and had a great experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this contractor.

Well, where do I start? I phoned this company quite by accident. I had no prior knowledge of them, but called as I was having concerns about possible rodents entering the house or at the very least my chimney. I didn’t have a cap on my chimney, and was looking to have this attended to. When I phoned, Jason Light answered my call. He was very patient, informative, and through our conversation, it became clear it was likely bats. I made an appointment for an inspection of the chimney. Jason came, took photos, and looked over my chimney and all that was vented into it. He very quickly sent out a very thorough breakdown of what should be done, according to his findings, and a quote. I did some comparison investigation, and was happy to find it was very reasonable so made an appointment to have the work done.Jason’s work ethic is a throwback to another time. He is lovely in his manner, answered all my questions, and worked tirelessly to do all the work required. He went over and above(compared to other workers I’ve employed) to do complete the job. It was a big job, on an old house and was accomplished solely by him. He worked late into the evening, for two days to ensure all the little details were attended to. He also cleaned all my furnace ducts thoroughly, in a manner I’ve never witnessed before! It has made the most obvious difference in the dust inside my home!I would confidently recommend him for any chimney concerns, and inspection and cleaning of the furnace and ducts. He was a pleasure to work with, and would have him back with no hesitation! Thank you so much Jason, for treating our home like your own!

Jason came to our home to complete a chimney inspection and cleaning on our wood stove. He was extremely pleasant to deal with over the phone and I had explained to him that we had missed getting the WETT inspection done for our insurance when the stove was installed. Jason was able to provide me an estimate over the phone and schedule a date that worked within a few days. On the day of the appointment, Jason had called me and asked if we could reschedule as the day had gotten away from him, as many of our own days do. We rescheduled and when the day came he was prompt, accommodating - I too was called away for a short time - and very courteous. He explained some details with our stove and answered our questions regarding code compliances. He worked neatly and efficiently. I was pleased that when it came time to write the cheque, the actual price matched the estimate he gave me over the phone!! When does that happen? Needless to say, Jason was very professional and we would highly recommend him for any chimney inspection and/or cleaning. We will gladly have him return annually for our inspections.
