Great place for wings on Wednesday. Hungry? Try the Water Valley burger. She's a double decker topped with your favorite condiments. Ask about Cowboy Bob. Winter 1910, a frozen cowboy rode in from the West and was served some warm wiskey. He paid with a gold nugget from his pocket, spoke of a gold motherload he had found, rode off, and was never to be seen again.

The saloon was quaint, nice staff, very local feeling.Good service, good beer. The food was good bar food- calamari and 1/2 order of nachos. Good sharing for 2. Usually I complain there is not enough fixings on my nachos. The tomato, green pepper and olives were great. The cheese!!! Tons of cheese, the cheesiest nachos ever.I have to say I also love the donkeys behind the parking lot. Be sure to bring a treat for 4 donkeys ❤

If you ever drive past the Water Valley Saloon and want to eat, it's best to drive past and eat elsewhere. And if you still stay here for lunch, then you will wait for your order for at least 40 minutes, and then they will bring you poor quality food. Soup of the Day is an instant soup from a bag of Knorr with a spoonful of canned corn thrown into it. Nachos are two slices of fatty bread with a slice of cheese inside. Maybe they have delicious wings, I don’t know, we didn’t try it, because there was no desire to wait another 40 minutes. The excellent interior of the cafe is spoiled by terrible food, which is not worth the money spent on it.

That is a traditional saloon. I did not stay there, I was only picking up ice. Going back for sure...for their famous Water Valley burger, and I understand they also serve a Bison buger.

We had a great time there. Kim was very friendly despite being run off her feet as a couple unexpected large groups came in just before us. The food was yummy, the prices were good and I would not hesitate to come back!

We rode our motorbikes out from Calgary today and certainly weren't the only ones, as there were lots of friendly bikers willing to suggest various routes to take to and from the Water Valley Saloon. It's such a cool Saloon, right out of a western movie. The food is really good and the service we had from Griffin was fantastic. I would highly recommend going here for some true Alberta Western Atmosphere :)

♿ wheelchair accessible if you bring your own 2 ft or 4 ft ramp.The corn chowder soup of the day was tasty and a generous portion. The starter spinach salad I ordered was also very large so I split it with my partner.

A good stop at the Water Valley is a refreshing way to rest, stretch and a quick snack. Place is relaxing, food is deliciously reasonable and very good service.The Water Valley is a quiet, small town at the ridge of the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, Canada having a pleasant environment and a delightful mountain view.Before reaching the town, you will see a wildlife crossing bridge along the highway for wildlife’s mobility to be safe as they get across the Rocky Mountains. Highway fence has been installed to direct animals to the safe crossings. A great structure for wildlife to thrive and a safer roads for people.
