Eat here twice. Food was good and customer service was great. Not in the area very much, but when I am and I'm carving Chinese I always go here.

We always loved King Bo and its food, until last night. I have to mention that as a restaurant owners and immigrants, my partner and I are missing a diversity and choice of restaurants in Nova Scotia, that’s why King Bo was our often place to go. And we can forgive many things, like the waiter that has no idea about the restaurant’s beer (because she “doesn’t drink”), and the dirty boots she’s wearing that in my opinion is unacceptable in a food establishment. The one thing I cannot forgive is a chef arguing with a guest. In my Vegetable Lo Mein I found a handful of sprouts, and only a very few (one hand is enough to count on fingers) “vegetables” – literally three-four small pieces of red pepper, several shaves of carrot and a couple of green onion. Again, in my opinion and according to my previous experience in East Asian countries and other Chinese restaurants, if you call your dish “Vegetable” it has to contain more than that. After I pointed that issue to a waiter, and even showed her a number of googled pictures, she first offered me to put more vegetables in it, which I gladly agreed with (and this is where the issue would be resolved completely!), but then she came back and said they will just put an extra charge for that on our bill! That was not what I agreed with so she called the chef who started to argue with me, pointing that this is what THEY serve as Vegetable Lo Mein in their restaurant for whole 6 years of existing, and that their guests mostly order this dish for the noodles, not for the vegetables. He even brought me two cups of “vegetables” to show how much he puts into the dish. And again, I failed to convince him that to call a dish Vegetable there should be a bit more of a variety, than a quantity (which in their case is still a lot of sprouts, not vegetables). Where is cabbage at least? And bock choy?! I think it is very mean.At the end I just decided that I wouldn’t waste our time, I simply refused to eat that, we paid the bill and left with a bitter taste. I don’t think we’ll ever go back. So far we were always sending friends there and recommended it to a number of people, but from now on I’ll be doing the exact opposite...

Nicely decorated, looks festive. Got the food to go, took about 20 min, all was was hot and good. Would recommend giving it a try.

Sub-par experience. Wontons in the wonton soup were insufficiently cooked. Spicy orange chicken was just chicken with a sweet orange sauce, with no hint of spice or fruit. Had to ask for steamed rice with main, no water. Friendly enough people but not a place to recommend.

We have eaten here a number of times. The food and service have always been great and we look forward to returning. The food is all home cooked, the owners are lovely and the wait staff are friendly and efficient. What more could you want?

A great place locally for Chinese cuisine. We are never disappointed.Prices are competitive, the food is fresh and served in sharable portions, and the staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate dietary restrictions/allergies where possible.

Have eaten here multiple times and have eaten at many Chinese food restaurants and this is the best I have had yet. Food always seems to be really fresh which is unique for a Chinese food restaurant. Not usually busy and not sure why, have had nothing good experiences. No buffet which is unfortunate. Prices are average or slightly higher than average. Highly recommend. P.S. Order the orange chicken.
