Not only does Alternatives carry beautiful and effective products, but the after-purchase service is exceptional. Mark, the installer, is knowledgeable, courteous and very particular about his work. Tanya, the office administrator, besides being very pleasant, is organization personified. And Jason, the owner, goes above and beyond to see that your unit is in good working condition, ready for any eventuality. My two fireplace inserts are the only alternate heat sources for my house, which is normally heated by hot water baseboards; if the power goes out for a long time, my pipes will freeze. Every autumn (and sometimes at other times), Jason ensures that my units are in top working condition for the winter. The personal attention given by the team at Alternatives gives me peace of mind that if something should happen, my units will see me through. I highly recommend this company and am continually grateful for their excellent service.

Purchased a Quadra-Fire Discovery II Stove from Alternatives in 2018. It's the perfect size for our new home in Saint Andrews. We love the wood storage area under the fire box and the customizable panels on the sides. Customer service from purchase to installation was excellent!

Excellent service. This company provides top notch Reliable service years after purchase and also service to our older unit that was not installed by them. They have maintained our 3 units and assure they are ready to go every season to keep us safe and warm. The team is very professional and courteous. They have been amazing to deal with and today the coldest day of the year Jason came to help with our older fireplace to get it going so we could have heat!!!! This is going above and beyond. I would never go anywhere else.

We purchased a Louisiana Grill from Jason at Alternative’s in Saint John NewBrunswick in October of 2021. Unfortunately we had some issues with the grill in the spring of 2022! I went in on the first Monday of June 2022 and spoke to Jason! Jason did not hesitate to call the Louisiana Grill representative right then and their on speaker phone! He explained the situation to the representative, the representative asked for pics and some words in an email so he could open a warranty claim. On Thursday of the same week Jason called and told me to come pick up my new grill at my convenience! Amazing customer service from both Alternatives and Louisiana grill! I am extremely happy with my grill and would strongly suggest visiting Alternatives for your Louisiana Grill! Thanks again Jason!

Absolutely the most rude phone conversation!!! Totally belittled me for asking basic questions on things I wanted to buy from them. My Alternative is to happily drive to Fredericton to purchase my wood stove needs. One star for actually answering the phone.

I went to this location to get a part for my wood stove as I recently bought a new property and wanted to get the stove up to code and working. The man at the front counter was ignorant from the moment I walked in. I proceeded to asked if they had what I was looking for. They did have the part however he refused to sell it to me because the stove was not originally purchased there and “my parts are for my customers”. Baffling statement considering I was trying to be a customer and may have to purchase a new stove but due to his ignorance you can be sure it will not be bought there nor will the one I was going to but for my garage now come from there.

We purchased our fireplace from Alternatives 5 years ago and love the product. After service has been prompt and professional with no exception. During the recent high winds the roof vent blew off and the fireplace would not stay on. I called Tanya for an appointment and Jason the service technician was here the very next day to replace the vent which turned out to be defective and was covered under warranty. Jason was very professional and informative and I 'd have no hesitation to recommend Alternatives to anyone.
