Highly recommend to someone who wants to try Authentic Korean food!1. Fast and straightforward service- We called to place an order and she said it will be ready in 10min. And then it was!2. Generous amount of delicious side dishes3. Really authentic food that didn’t compromise to the trend of other Korean restaurants nearby. I’ve seen a lot of Korean restaurants who started to make fusion food that diminishes the quality of food, but Sung Won keeps its authenticity.Definitely a go-to Korean food! Attached pictures will be useful when you want to place an order.

Can we say hidden gem in markham? No IG account, but like many people have said, the best places don’t always have social media!Great food! And great portions!The food was so nice and flavourful! The gamjatang is really one of the best ones in markham!Also had the bulgogi and how juicy it was is just words, you gotta experience it for yourself!And cannot forget about he korean side dishes when you dine! The takeout portion for the side dishes is unbelievable! Best Korean food in Markham!! The portions are amazing, the owners are so sweet, and your takeout comes with side dishes. It does not get better than this. The Gamjatang is absolutely delicious, perfect amount of spice. 10% off if you pay cash

I got takeout from this restaurant a few days ago and have already went back twice. It doesn’t matter what you get from here because every item tastes exceptional. The side dishes are given in generous portions and they taste authentic and fresh, especially the kimchi. This is an underrated restaurant with service that never disappoints.

The food portions were good and it came with the bunchans (side dishes)The kimchi wasn’t good. It needed more time to ferment.I ordered the seafood and tofu soup. It had one prawn and one oyster the rest were just onions and baby shrimp.I also ordered the spicy chicken. It was good. Could of been more spicy.

So glad i finally tried this place! I was always turned off from going because the plaza it's located in is a bit inconvenient. But wow im so glad i finally tried it!We got the pork bone soup and kimchi stew and both were really good! The pork bone soup had chunks of meat that just fell off the bone, it's probably one of the best I've had, better than some places that specialize in it!Also the side dishes are quality AND quantity! They give you 4 big tubs of it (at galleria they would go for $10+) and the kimchi is sooo good, crisp and garlicky!Definitely would come back!

Generous portion of food and four sides for a $12.99 spicy seafood tofu stew with rice. Absolutely delicious and just enough spicy. Staff is friendly and Will visit again for sure. You will be asked to wait outside for your food which is perfectly fine but there are only four parking spots outside so better to order ahead of time.

We are extremely disappointed in Sung Won. They opened during the pandemic and we’ve been the most loyal customers for 2 years! Close to home, amazing food, and friendly staff. When I say loyal, I mean we ordered consistently every 2 weeks for the past 2 years. Both recent times we went, we got food poisoning. The first time, we gave them the benefit of the doubt, but tonight is the last time we order from them ever again. Their food quality also noticeably went down compared to when they first opened, but we still went since they’re so close. Based on what I see, there’s also different staff lately too. Absolutely do not recommend to anyone anymore unfortunately.

This restaurant was recently opened. Noticed a big sign on 20% off and decided to check it out. The restaurant does mostly take out with a few tables for dine-in. They have a good selections of Korean food on the menu. Ordered a pork bone soup and jajangmyeon. Both items were delicious and good portion with the price and they give you a good selection of buchan too which I love. Staff were friendly and service is good!During our stay, lots of ppl doing takeout too! Everyone is taking advantage of the 20% off. This is definitely a place I would go back to!

This place is incredible!!! My partner and I were looking for an authentic Korean restaurant to satisfy our spice craving and decided to try this place out. There was ample parking when we went at night on a weekday. My partner got the spicy pork stirfry and I got the pork bone soup. Both these dishes were savory, perfect kick of spice, seasoned perfectly and made promptly (we waited 5-10 mins for our food). They gave us 4 side dishes (kimchi, noodles, fish cake, and potato salad) and the portion for each were huge! The food was so tasty that we were both just eating in silence, enjoying the flavors as our mouths had never touched such delicious LOCAL korean food. Will definetly go back again very soon!!!
