recently went with some family to look at a vehicle, it looked great in the pictures online and initially upon contact the salesman Glen seemed very nice. We were presented with alot of paperwork showing work that had been done, car fax, proof of inspection etc. Took it for a drive and we liked it so ended up purchasing. Dealership refused to budge on the price so instead we negotiated with asking to have a few things completed in exchange. We specifically asked to have the breaks done, tail lights fixed and oil change done. This was included in our contract and Glen offered to deliver the vehicle to us later that week. We left and everything seemed great. Three days later we should had a phone call to let us know when the car would be coming but instead we spent the entire day trying to just get ahold of someone. Ended up getting in touch with the owner finally at 10pm at night just for him to rudely brush us off. The car was delivered the following day but all the promised paperwork showing that the work had been done that was agreed upon in the contract was conveniently forgotten. Thank goodness my dad is a retired mechanic and knows his vehicles. After 2 days of checking it over we discovered that the oil was not changed, the brakes were not done and the only thing completed was the tail lights. We tried to contact them to discuss this and they wouldn't return any calls. We waited almost a week before finally getting fed up and driving all the way back down (an hour away) to confront them. Glen, who was previously present throughout the sale was now incredibly rude and put off that we were even there. He conveniently didn't have the papers at the office and had to drive home to get them. Upon returning when we asked why nothing in the contract was done he had no response other than I'll talk to the owner". When we asked why he hadn't returned any calls in over a week he replied "I guess my secretarial skills could be better". My dad had to firmly tell him that he was breaking a legal contract and when he tried to deny any wrong doing and I supported my dad

Just wanted to reiterate the previous post - Please do NOT trust this dealership. Similarly, I was presented with a CARFAX and an inspection report for the car. The inspection report stated that everything on the car was in safe working order. After purchasing the car and 1,000 km of driving, I found that the brakes started vibrating when braking, the car had dog hair and pine needles in corners of the car hard to get to and see, including the roof trim packed with pine needles upon removing them and I kept finding various trim clips either broken or missing. Eventually I took the car to the local dealership of the car brand and asked them to do an inspection of the vehicle. They came back to tell me that although the vehicle only had 54k KM the rotors were pitted from rust and should be replaced, plus the engine under trays were missing and the radiator/condenser had been bent from an impact. All of which had not been identified on the inspection I was provided nor was I informed by the sales guy. When contacting the sales guy I dealt with I learnt that he no longer worked there and he put me in contact with Kyle. My first conversation with Kyle seemed pleasant enough but then I never heard back from him for days. I had to keep contacting him to get back to me. I focused on the rusting rotors and asked that they consider compensating for replacing them, at least a reasonable portion of the total cost. Finally I was told that rust accumulates over time and it is now months later so hard to give money. Bottom line I agree with the previous comment - DO NOT even think of buying a car from these guys without having your own inspection done and demanding the price of it being deducted from the sale price. It will be the only way to be sure of what you are getting

Please do NOT trust this dealership. At the time of the test drive I was presented with many receipts for maintenance, a CARFAX and an inspection report for the car. The inspection report stated that everything on the car was in safe working order. After purchasing the car, I found that the shocks were worn out, the car's emission control is throwing trouble codes and the spare tire had huge sidewall failure hidden on the underside. The sales agent, Kyle, arrived for the test drive with a scan tool, and must have cleared the trouble codes just before the test drive. Just a few hours after the sale, trouble codes and a check engine light came on. Later on, I found the car lifts on bumps when it's driven at highway speeds, indicating worn out front shocks. And the third strike, was the flat spare tire. When the three factors are added, this shows that the goal was to be deceptive. Do not even think of buying a car from these guys without having your own inspection done and demanding the price of it being deducted from the sale price. It will be the only way to be sure of what you are getting, In fact your best bet is to AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!

Bought a car from here recently, and I was super impressed with the way I was treated. I was recently in a bad car accident and the manager came to my house to pick me up as he knew I didn't have any transportation. There was a no pressure sales, and they were very fair and knowledgable through the whole process. They even helped me through the insurance part. Thanks guys very happy with my purchase!!

Excellent communication throughout transaction. John went above and beyond for my mom who is 85 when she bought a used little car. He made sure she understood the whole process and was very helpful when we needed extra maintenance after the sale. He went above and beyond. I will he sending friends there and highly recommend this company.

We just purchased a used Subaru from Paul at Check Auto and have to say it was the best car buying experience we have ever had. There was no pressure, complete honesty about the car, and he even took the time to drive the car back to our home for us. On top of this the price was awesome. If you are looking for a good used car, I would highly recommend this dealership and salesman. Great job Paul!

I bought a used car and was told it had passed an inspection and had a bunch of work done and that I would receive records of everything which made me feel more comfortable buying it.. The salesman came to my house to make the sale final (which I appreciate living in Victoria) but conveniently forgot that paper work. I have been unable to get it after asking multiple times and am left feeling uncertain of the condition of the vehicle I purchased or if it even passed an inspection etc. I was also told it only had one owner but the CarFax shows it had many and that it was a rental car which I wasn't aware of.Even worse, the transfer and tax forms were filled out incorrectly (and were altered after the sale) so I was unable to insure the car when I wanted to and had a tough time getting that sorted out. The insurance broker even said I would have to pay the tax again if they weren't corrected. When I phoned the Dealership to tell them about this I was met with blunt rudeness, told that's not their job" and was hardly given a chance to even explain the situation.. I was then told they would fix this by calling the insurance broker and that I could go there the next morning and it would all be sorted out for me. I went there as planned and the insurance broker had no idea what I was talking about

My husband and I bought a Van for our family a couple weeks ago from Kyle and we just wanted to say a big thank you! He was so patient with all of my questions. It's not easy to go shopping for a vehicle when you have young kids but Kyle was so accommodating. Loving our Toyota, its perfect for what we need. We will definitely be back!!

My husband and I just bought an SUV from Kyle at Check Auto and are very happy with the experience. Kyle is pleasant and informative and immediately brought to our attention the problems the vehicle is known for, which I found very honest. We were happy with the steps he took to fix any issues. The dealership is also very close to the bank and insurance company, so that made for an easy one-stop-shop.

After reading these reviews I was extremely skeptical but after dealing with John and having my new car for over a month I am so happy. I have had horrible luck with cars but John was super honest right off the bat and provided me with a CARFAX and an inspection they did in house. I wanted to get my own independent inspection done and it aligned perfectly with theirs. Definitely recommend dealing with John, great experience!
