The East Side Restaurant & Pub
First time visiting Newport, Vermont so we didn't know what to expect as far as restaurants were concerned. This place was amazing though! What a nice view and a great atmosphere. Food was really good and the service was solid. Fudge section was very nice as well as the antique store. Only thing I didn't care for was the water which had tasted like chlorine was added. Personally don't like the taste. Would absolutely come back!

We just attended a post-funeral luncheon. The buffet offerings were many and varied and so delicious. All attendees felt right at home in a large private room overlooking the water. Charming decor, clean bathrooms, friendly staff — we were beyond pleased.

The East Side Restaurant & Pub
East Side in Newport (VT) is a fun place to enjoy a meal, Sunday Brunch or a drink with friends. The view of LK Memphremagog is fantastic. (Any season) They do not take reservations but you can call ahead to ask how long the wait is during traditional busy times. The wait can be long. Staffing can be hard. Pick off times. Don't forget to go to the shop and pick up bakery items!

Truly great food, wide selection and attentive service. The wait was 15 minutes at their peak busy lunchtime on Labor Day weekend! Indoor and very large outdoor deck dining. They have a large bakery and confectionery on premise making a huge variety of delightful treats and a great gift shop.

Beautiful restaurant on lake memphremagog in Newport Vermont. Their seafood chowder is famous! Lunch options diverse and delicious. Plus they made every effort to serve and welcome francophones from Quebec in their language... don't expect it will be reciprocated..Recommend this place as a must visit!

What a gem! Right on the lake! Food was great service a little slow due to manpower, but worth the wait!
