Visiting this store, I was very impressed by the selection of Japanese knives. I was immediately greeted by the person working. I was even more impressed by how knowledgeable and passionate they were on topics ranging from the origin of the manufacturers, to the quality/attributes of the different steels. As it turns out, I was being helped by Gage, the owner. He was friendly, he took the time to answer all my questions, and it is safe to say I’ll be coming back to his store when I need my next Japanese knife, or one of my existing knives sharpened.

Been wanting to check out this place for a long time. Been a long time lurker of their IG and website and finally decided to order something for in store pick up and then shop around. Hansan was super knowledgeable and took the time to explain different knives and share his experience. Never felt rushed and he took the time for everyone in the store. Looking forward to using my new Nakiri and charcoal bbq and as I was leaving saw the sourdough basket and been meaning to learn so got that and the starter! Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Came in at around new years where there was a sales event, a Korean keeper was in store. Super friendly and patient, i stood around for like an hour deciding which knife i wanted and they kindly explained everything and patiently assisted me. Knife i brought there is good and everything to my expectations.

I was super happy with my experience. The owner was very friendly and had a wealth of knowledge. I had my one knife fixed, and the handle of another knife swapped out and they did a great job with both. ALSO, the prices at this knife shop are much more approachable for people than some other places in Toronto.Amazing!

I purchased a Mitsubishi Hinora santoku knife at the Etobicoke location yesterday. Since it was my first ever carbon steel knife, I asked a lot of questions, all of which Hansan patiently and clearly answered. Hansan also touched up the knife for free and applied oil on it (to prevent rust) free of charge. Great customer service! I would recommend SHARP to anyone looking for quality Japanese kitchen knives that are made in Japan.

Had a great knife skills class with Gage! The class went beyond my expectations. Not only did we learn about how to cut a lot of the different vegetables, we also got to take it all home with us (going to have some amazing salads this week). Gage did a great job of keeping the class really relaxed and fun while still learning a lot. Something I didn’t expect was they also allow you to try any of the huge selection of knives they have! Was great to figure out my preferences in knife handle, length, etc.Will definitely be coming back, maybe for the knife sharpening class next time!

I recently visited a knife shop and was blown away by the incredible service I received from Hansan. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the products, but he went above and beyond to give me great advice and help me find the perfect knife for my needs. I now have a knife that I absolutely love! If you're in the area and in need of a great knife, this shop is definitely the place to go.

Accidentally discovered this shop while looking for an everyday knife. We've been using a basic knife set for decades and wanted to surprise my wife with a couple of better blades.The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, found me a couple in my price range and didn't try to upsell, which I appreciated.My wife liked what I brought home and went back the next day for another.Completely recommend them

Visited first time couple of weeks ago. Small shop but pretty good selection of Japanese knives. Hansan helped me picked out a Kiritsuke. Also got a ceramic honing rod for half price. Good service and good knives!
