Keating Farm
We met Rebecca and George on a weekend morning in their charming farmhouse kitchen, over tea and cookies, and thus began our journey with Keating Farm and ultimately a most glorious wedding celebration on September 14th, 2019. As we toured the main floor of the farmhouse, it was evident that Rebecca and George were taking amazing care and attention to detail in restoring this century’s old home. From the beginning we were struck by the professionalism, combined with the warmth, friendliness and humour, that describe George and Rebecca. They welcomed our chosen vendors to tour the Farm to ensure that it was a match. Our vendors were overwhelmingly impressed with the site. Every question, every anxious moment or thought, we could bring to George and Rebecca and their collaboration was sincere. The communication was always timely and every detail was attended to. We were a team! As we arrived on the wedding day, the words chosen by our guests to describe Keating Farm were “stunning”, “magical”, “picturesque”, “remarkable”, “out of this world”, “peaceful”, and “breath-taking”! From cocktails and charcuterie boards on the divine porch as guests were greeted, to the marriage ceremony under the canopy of orchard trees, to the outdoor champagne toast, and then the evening meal in the great hall followed by dancing, it was a day to remember. Rebecca, George and your dear children, we cannot thank you enough for all that you provided that made our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding day so special, exceptional and distinctive. We are grateful we discovered Keating Farm and we encourage and cheer you on in all future happenings. #keatingfarm #wedding #sweptawayphoto

We had our wedding at Keating Farm in May 2022. It was a magical and perfect day. All of our guests were so impressed by the venue - the beautifully restored Great Hall in the main farmhouse building, the orchards in front of the farmhouse where we held the ceremony, as well as the gorgeous hay barn that we had our reception in. Owners Rebecca and George clearly have poured their heart into restoring and preserving this historic farm. As it is a working farm, we were able to source many of our ingredients for the dinner and cocktail hour from the farm itself. They have partnerships with many local vendors so you can truly have a farm to table" dinner which garnered rave reviews from our guests. We were able to stay on the farm for a few nights in one of the outbuildings

George and Rebecca are some of the sweetest people imaginable. On top of that, their venue is beyond stunning and full of history. We were so happy to have a our wedding photos taken here this past summer. We had so many comments from people about the stunning photos and background. Plus they have the most delicious eggs and sustainably-raised meat.

We decided on Keating Farm as our wedding venue within minutes of touring the grounds. We knew we wanted a venue that would provide indoor/outdoor flexibility, raw beauty, and an intimate experience. We immediately started daydreaming about cocktail hour lawn games and friends catching up in the cozy living room. The venue is steeped in history, with all buildings restored to their former glory... and then some! We had our ceremony in the picturesque pasture, a long table dinner in the nut orchard, and a roaring good time dancing in the great hall. We couldn't have imagined a more down to earth, elegant venue to celebrate with our friends and family. Almost a year out, our loved ones regularly comment on the kindness of the Keating Farm owners and the small details they noticed around the property.Rebecca and George have created a gem in the Cowichan Valley. They are warm, welcoming, and responsive, making planning a breeze. Our vendors appreciated the attention to detail and behind the scenes flow that the mudroom and separate driveways provided.

It is always such a pleasure to stop by Keating Farm and restock on some of the highest quality and best tasting farm to table products I've ever had the pleasure of trying. I could go on about all of their offerings but I will stick to my three favorite.First, their apple juice is quite honestly the best I've ever tasted. The apples come from heritage trees that have been growing on the property for decades. The flavour and tartness is absolutely perfect and so refreshing!Second, their Honey is just flat out amazing. I heard some time ago that eating local honey can help with seasonal allergies and as a serious allergy sufferer I figured there was no closer Honey than the farm down the street. What I soon found out on my quest for local Honey was that not only did I find the closest but also the most delicious. When I eat Keating Farm's Honey I can literally taste the flowers that it came from. Finally, their chickens are amazing and flavourful. The meat stays juicy and doesn't dry out when cooked and the flavour is unmatched. It comes with the seat of approval of my mother in law who grew up butchering her own chickens and rendering their fat in rural southern Taiwan. She prides herself on how many different dishes she can cook with one chicken, showcasing it's flavour in many different ways. She loves Keating Farm's chickens and the incredibly high quality meat they produce.I highly recommend giving Rebecca and Georges a visit at Keating Farm and seeing for yourself what incredible and delicious products they offer.

Our intimate ceremony was more than we could have asked for!Like many, our original wedding day was affected by COVID and we had to postpone our larger family wedding. We wanted to mark our special day on Dec 3 anyway with an intimate ceremony and Keating Farm was the perfect venue.Rebecca and George were so welcoming, responsive, flexible and easy to work with. The farmhouse is stunning with it's rich, dark wood and vaulted ceilings. We honestly felt right at home and all those pre-wedding jitters just melted away.We highly recommend Keating Farm for your special day - big or small - you won't be disappointed!
