Great food and nice ambience. Flat bread is amazing and goes well with wine and beer . Nice range of cocktails and food options are good for vegetarian as well . Nice place for hangout with friends and family . Dirt pie icecream is a must try . Though I found the portion size is little smaller compared to state and main in Ontario. Overall great place near to Nolan hill .

Great tasting food, friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Helpful tip for servers is to know and understand the different drinks so when asked about a recommendation they can help with that.

I love going here. I had a state and main near my house in Edmonton and we really didn't like it at all. The people make all the difference. The food is always great. The staff is so considerate and go above and beyond.

Simple and delicious!!.. Wow, been hearing about State and Main from friends around the neighborhood, so decided to go for dinner.. Not even an ounce of disappointment.Service was super friendly and staff was awesome!!Food came out in order, starting with appetizers.. Their BAJA BRUSSELS SPROUTS amazing!!!!!.. Main dishes are equally as good..

Stopped in for the first time today. Although it was a little chilly inside at the small booths where we sat, the temperature was comfortable by the time our food was served.Although I knew of this place it is a little out of the way from home but decided to try it for lunch. Well, what a pleasant surprise! We had the Spanako flatbread, fish & chips, and Chicken Enchilada. All were excellent.Starting with the flatbread, it was apparent the kitchen cares about the food they serve. The flavors were well-balanced and toppings were fresh and the bread was hot, tender, firm, and not sloppy.Next the fish & chips.I just returned from Victoria 48 hours ago and the haddock & chips from here were better than the halibut and chips from Red fish Blue fish in Victoria (previous visit) and better than the cod and chips from the pier restaurant in Sidney. Although I prefer both halibut and cod over haddock, The State and Main restaurant prepares fish and chips right!Lightly battered, nice tender ample portions of fish that were not overcooked or oily which seems to happen a lot at most other places. The coleslaw was perfect too, not drowning in overly mayonnaised" soupy dressing which also happens a lot elsewhere. The fries were delicious and I would go back just for those! They were also perfectly cooked and not dried out and not served with discardable dried-out tooth-breaking bits

Great little spot for food and drinks. Outside patio as well as inside tables you won’t be disappointed with attending here. The service always on point and always cater to your needs as best they can. Be sure to check out this location.

I’ll start by mentioning that this place had the worst steak I’ve eaten in a very long time. It was way more done than what I requested, the outside was charred and dry while the inside was chewy and dry. The asparagus that it came with had been left for way too long and the bottom was inedible. Would not recommend.On another note, their brussel sprout appetizer was delicious. The service was great and I enjoyed the music there.

Really enjoyed the food etc. The pictures I have attached are of half portions. I would have rated them 5/5 except they forgot the avocado on our California chopped salad and we are 99% sure we did not get any horseradish mayo on our beef dip until we asked for it. We really appreciate that they are willing to provide 1/2 portions and will be going back there again in the near future.

We’ve been visiting on and off since they opened. The place has definitely gone downhill in the past couple of years. The food and service is decent, but prices have gone up big time after Covid (as with most places). Considering this is a neighborhood joint do they expect people to pay $10 for a Stella, and $12 for a glass of wine? Not to mention the food prices. $20 for 2 tiny fish tacos? I don’t think so…

Good spot for a group hangout. Food was good. Some appetizers were overly heavy (artichoke dip) but others were fine (flat bread pizza). Their sandwiches are great! Overall, pretty good portions and service was great!
