Cantope Dog Boarding Kennel

Me and my 2 brothers and sisters-in-law have Cantope poodles. We went on a cruise this summer and we’re gone for 14 days. We all boarded our poodles at Cantope. We boarded my poodle, PJ, along with his dad, Bandit, his 1/2 brother, Conner, and his aunt, Fantasia. I think they lost their minds. They had so much fun being together. They had their own air conditioned house and their own yard to play in. PJ met his sister, Phobe and her daughter Sophia. He spent his 3rd birthday there and they all got extra treats. They all got bathed and groomed for the summer. I will always board my poodle here. Thank you Kelley for putting up with my PJ and his grooming!

They have an amazing breeding program and set the puppies up for success right away with their socialisation and exposure activities. They provide a health guarantee, puppie's pedigree, and even provide a 7-week temperament test video and report. You also will bring home a whole bunch of other things like food, toys, leash, and a training kit. Diane and Peter care a lot about their poodles - they even wrote a whole book on how to care for standard poodles that you will get for free. They allow visits and calls anytime, respond fast to emails, and actually have waitlists for customers -- they even pair you with the right poodle based in your preferences and lifestyle, rather than the customers picking one, as a reputable breeder should. Once your pup is born, they provide weekly portrait pictures of their growth (amazing plus!!). We were matched with our Cooper, a beautiful red and white parti poodle last May, and we couldn't be happier. He came well adjusted, close to potty trained, and well mannered. I highly recommend Cantope, we will definitely be getting another poodle from them down the road.

I love this kennelI got my lovely little boy (Roger my poodle pup) here when he was 3months in 2019.Peter and Diane and the rest of them take such good care of my little boy when I drop him off for grooming, boarding (long or short stays).They send pictures of their play time when boarding, and makes me at ease while away from him. If you want to buy STANDARD POODLE, this is your only choice in Canada! DIANE is so professional and they wrote a book about poodles! For me, DIANE introduced me what is RAW DIET! Let me believe that RAW DIET is the best way for your baby. I really feel very lucky to have chosen them, my baby is very healthy and well behaved.

Owners care about their puppies. My husband and I had a great visit with Peter and Diane and the pups. We were late for our appointment (I got a bit lost), but I called and there was no problem.Despite the number of dogs and puppies, there was absolutely no dog odour and the facilities were immaculate.I put down a deposit and am looking forward to meeting my new puppy in the not too far future.As well, the owners were very careful with disinfection, masks and hand sanitizing.

Excellent breeder. She matched us with a perfect puppy. No health issues at all. Performed site visit prior to picking up the dog and its a well run clean kennel. Puppy was well socialized from the breeder. My pup was very quick to toilet train and crate train. Good breed conformation as well. The care package they send you home included a lot of great extras. The paperwork was nice to have as well with all of the health testing.

Professional the whole way through the process providing a warm and happy upbringing for the puppies prior to you taking them home. The grooming service is excellent and doesn't only do poodles, they also can give lessons to teach you to groom your dog as well. Highly recommended.

My parents were blessed with the most wonderful poodle from Cantope. Our dear Bella is now 8 yo, still with the spirit of a playful puppy. Everyone that meets her falls in love! Cannot say enough about her sweet temperament. She is very smart and trainable, but don’t leave leftovers on the counter and walk away, as she loves to sneak some human food— Miss-chievous! She has been a great companion to my parents, and loves to go camping and hiking with us as well. Her health is also excellent, other than a recurring ear infection.

Bought our two poodles from them 4 years ago. We have owned poodles for 20 years and these two are amazing pets! They are from different litters, but both have excellent temperaments and are very smart. The owners are conscientious about their breeding program and turn out great pups. Can't say enough about them!

We got our puppy from Cantope and have been extremely happy with him as well as the Welsh’s! Andy has been a happy and healthy boy, and Diane and Peter have been an integral part of us getting him from 10 weeks to 6 months. Whenever I have a question they’re quick to respond. They’re very knowledgeable of the breed and dogs in general. When Andy has a tooth issue they were quick to offer to pay for both the consult and any treatment he needed. Likewise when Andy got worms (which was in absolutely no way their fault, he got them long after we brought him home) they helped us treat it! The puppies are raised right in their living room meeting visitors all day long. Andy loves everyone, is extremely tolerant (I have twin 3 year old with autism and he is great with them and helps them calm down). He’s doing great in his obedience classes and he was super easy to house train. I know other people who have Cantope dogs and they’re all very happy! I can’t wait for my parents to get their Cantope pup!!
