I love the 3 pools and love the changerooms, and the fact theres lots of stalls in the family changerooms.I like the changerooms hidden downstairs with the sauna as well.Child minding is great. The gym itself is very small, and hot. I feel uncomfortable working out here.I wish the recreational swims happened more frequently.

I would never leave for another gym. It's so clean, the equipment is current, the front desk staff are so welcoming. They offer a variety of group fitness and most classes are well taught and challenging. The instructors are awesome. Highly recommend!

Very welcoming for someone who is from a different YMCA location. Would say that the layout of the building is very confusing however there is a lot of space for a variety of activities. I enjoyed their big gym with the TRX because it was often quiet when no classes were around to just do my yoga!

Over the past year, we've had some great experiences with this YMCA. We use this YMCA mostly for the children's recreation programs. The kids programs are great, but as another review stated, some classes fill up very quickly. Be sure to check the website for registration day if you want to take full advantage of the programs offered. Often, there is a pretty serious line up all morning on registration day. The staff are generally quite helpful, and always very pleasant to deal with. Administration and policies can be a little clunky to deal with on occasion, so be sure to ask lots of questions so you're totally clear on what's happening and your expectations are clear. The staff are trained quite well to answer all your questions, and help you through just about any situation. Using this YMCA as an adult, I find the gym is clean and well maintained. But, presently the adult recreation programs are predominantly (but not all) scheduled during weekdays making them inaccessible to many adults with a regular work schedule. All in all, we're happy to continue our membership.

As long as you don't miss a payment everything will be fine however you miss a payment on $10, they have a 75% late fee so $10 becomes $40 they call it an NSF fee but when it comes from a credit card that's not possible so they're just charging an enormous amount I don't know where the fine line is in the criminal code of Canada we're 60% is considered loan sharking and breaking this law is 2 years minus a day but if there is another alternative to the YMCA in North Bay I would take it. I understand that businesses may have had it rough in the past 2 years but stealing from people is not acceptable

Swimming lessons are absolutely fake for milking you.Specially for children age under 7 . I have been bringing my children to this place for 3 years in a row and they keep teach them to blow in the water .Just that . Blow in the water. They hire some sleepy teenagers to come and teach our children how to swim. I am sure that even in 10 years in a row, they will still teach them to blow in the water. I took my kids to the lake with life jacket and 1 hour swimming at the lake was worth more than last 3 years .please pay attention and care about people ! Swimming lessons should not be a joke ! please try at least to mature !

The team at YMCA are an integral part of our community, they provide well organized- safe, and fun activities for people of all ages. My family depends on them for all sort of fun activities, but most recently swimming lessons and gymnastics classes which can occasionally be timed to run consecutively for your child's age group. The pool is exceptional and they have a small splash area for infants and toddlers where parents can sit and supervise. They also have a warm wading pool for toddlers and children learning to swim. My favourite part of swimming lessons is the heated wading pool which is also wheel-chair accessible. The facility is equipped with a large gym, fitness area and sauna. They also run the Tillicum Bay day camp which is famously fun in our area. They have all sorts of programming running all year, so give them a call and see what is available for you and your family!

Aquatic part was horrible experience for me and my family. Every individual as staff has different idea and makes different rules. They are so disorganized and disconnected. One says no ...the other one says yes.The manager was even worse. She had no idea what she was talking about. The safety guards are the gloomiest people.

Staff are ver6y nice and equipment is well maintained pool smells don't leak out everywhere either so as you walk is your nose doesn't burn of chlorine. Options for low income families to stay in shape as well and offer a plathora of family services as well. Would recommend stopping by and seeing what they can do for you!
