Hôtel Chéribourg

Decent, but not worth the relatively high price tag. Run down looking on the outside, better on the inside, but although the surfaces (sink, toilet, shower) were clean, there was grime in the corners of the floor. Hard to get to I know, but still, for the price I would have thought they'd have done so. One big flaw: the water smelled like rotten eggs. As soon as I got in the shower I wondered what the hell the problem was, then realized it was coming from the pipes. My mother wouldn't even brush her teeth after that. Nice set up with beds upstairs and sitting area downstairs but although they mention views on their site, having walked around the whole place I don't know where there's a room that has one of the mountain. Off leash dog park within walking distance and restaurants just down the street, which was nice. Overall it wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't a resort-like experience.

We were pleasantly surprised! Things may appear dated as you drive up but our room was clean and although it was tiny it had everything we needed. The hotel was very busy, I always think that’s a good sign.We will definitely stay again! We walked to a delicious Bowen cafe and then a Thai restaurant for dinner. The location was super convenient

Rooms are dirty and old. The pool is disgusting. Your room will not be ready on-time and you will wait hours before you can enter it. I do not recommend this place. The staff is trying to be helpful, but offering a good service seems impossible these days.

This is an abusive hotel that says they will have the room ready already super late, until 4 PM. Then when you arrive you realize they are cheating, the room is ready actually untill 5 PM. To ad insult to injury, they want you out by 11 AM.Further, I paid for 3 persons in my room and the extra bed was not prepared. When I went to the lobby to ask about this they told me to prepare it myself. So why on Earth do you charge for a third person????There are many better options in nearby Magog, just avoid this one.

Room is clean and nice. My 5 star is for the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. What amazed me was the dinner 3-course meal. Absolutely incredible, very fresh and interesting choices. Would visit again just for their crème brûlée & the butter.

I will not recommend this place to groups.We were 17 people (9 adults & 8 children). At checking-in, we were told that we didn't need a reservation for breakfast, as it is a buffet.When we went for breakfast and we were trying to sit at tables that were close to each other, we were screamed at by the person in charge who told us that we couldn't sit where we wanted (although there were empty tables) and we were supposed to make a reservation since we are 17.During the check-out, we mentioned the incident and we were promised a call from the hotel's manager. Then, the lady came to apologize for her behavior, although, we appreciate and accepted her apologies, the hotel needs to make sure that accurate information is provided and also what is promised, as no one in our group has received the call from the manager.

We booked on short notice just for one night for a good rest on our roadtrip. Unfortunately there is no breakfast during the week and/or off season. We expected to get a room but we have been accomodated into a small house. The house was more spacious and luxury than some people live in there whole life. So this was really cool. Especially the tub was amazing.

We had a great stay. It's a nice hotel for families, they have a nice pool and play area for the kids. Our room was very clean. Bedrooms are accessed from outdoor.

My 5 star review. Specially for the restaurant manager and staff. After a very bad experience with my group you did the best you could to give us the best time. You are the Best. Thanks and happy new year.
