YiFang Taiwan Fruit Tea

I've tried out many bubbletea franchises over the years and I've grown to know the ins and outs of the industry and its standards, having managed a store, as well as having worked as a barista and kitchen staff. The customer service at this location has been subpar every time I've been here. I've noticed many of the other reviews sharing the same experience with no response from the owner; and one of the other recent reviews by lola has had the exact same experience, so I know this isn't a one-time thing. Spending $18 on two drinks with one topping each has you holding high enough standards as it is, but I was even more appalled to find the size of the pearls was inconsistent between visits, and they definitely didn't accidentally put in sago, as I had a drink with sago, and one with pearls. The pearls were maybe double the size of the sago. The drinks weren't blended properly and the overly chunky and lackluster taste of the taro did not help. The last time I came to this location I got an uji matcha latte with pearls and even though I had the same experience with customer service: no greeting, excessive waiting with no communication, having to repeat my order more than 4 times; the drink itself was great and so were the pearls. I just don't feel like you should pay this much for boba for a gamble at an okay experience.

The bubble tea was delicious but I definitely wasn't expecting to get apples, oranges, and passionfruit in my drink when I ordered Mango green tea... the freshness of the fruits made the tea delicious but I wish they would've told me ahead of time or their menu state that they put other fruits in their fruit teas because I hate passion fruit seeds. Would've been nice to know so I could have asked to not have passion fruit in it ahead of time. Otherwise, it was great haha

I recently came in to order a very generic drink. The drink came with sago and I kindly asked to replace it with generic pearls instead. I’ve subbed sago for pearls before many many times and never had an issue at both this location and other locations.This time they told me they could not do it without charging me for the pearls.I kindly explained to them that I was just switching out the sago, for the pearls as I didn’t not enjoy sago. They told me it’s for cost purposes and that the pearls were more expensive than the sago so they had to charge me for the swap. I left there baffled. Bubble tea has gone up quite a bit in price and for a shop to have zero flexibility on a drink is ridiculous.I guess I will just be ordering from the Royal Oak location where they would gladly make a drink the way you’d like it without gauging their customers.Do better Beacon.

Hands down best bubble tea place in Calgary. The pearls were well made and just the right sweetness. Tasted like it was just made. Got the winter melon, the brown sugar black tea latte, the brown sugar pearl latte and their signature drink. All drinks were awesome. Definitely will be back here again.

Mainly want to give this rating on a specific drink that I've given 4 tries hoping it was a mistake, but it is not. The PLUM GREEN TEA which is my usual favourite from Yifang since I first tried them a few years ago. Beacon Hill location started out great, the plum had the tartness that was also refreshing. Until I believe either the fall of 2022, either they hired a new employee that worked weekends that kept on making the recipe off. For the 4th time I ordered it from door dash, it has been a disappointment coming from the Beacon Hill location. My feedback is to have the store manager communicate with the staff to ensure all drink recipes are followed correctly. Please refer to the other Yi Fang locations in Calgary downtown and the one on Royal Oak. I will refrain from ordering this location for a while.

Idk service was just weird, not welcoming at all. Drink was also $7.50 for a M which is really the size of a small. Tasted like watered down tea.

Great drinks and fast service. The place is nice and clean too. Love the brown sugar pearls. And the pancakes are delicious!

Good ratio of milk tea and pearls. Pearls wasn’t too sweet nor bland. It might get a little busy in weekend afternoons. Lots of parking outside. Staff crew were cheerful and precise with our orders.
