This was the second time I ate here and compared to my first time, what a drastic difference. Service was terrible, our server had a bad attitude throughout. I ordered a mango lassi, which never came, but based on how the food tasted, I was not that disappointed. The potatoes in the masala dosa were bland. Tasted like just plain boiled potatoes with turmeric for colour. The sambar was okay but the main dish is the dosa which was terrible. Maybe the other menu items are better and I just ordered wrong but I would definitely avoid the dosa's.

We consider this the best Indian restaurant in Saskatoon. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Where else do you get white cloth napkins and table cloth? The quality of Tamarind's food is top notch and their serving size is huge considering the very fairly priced menu. The two of us had leftovers from 4 dishes. We started with Tandoori Sabji, Garlic Chicken Tikka Masala, Coconut Rice and 2 Garlic Naan. If you like hot Indian spices don't be afraid to try ordering the Tandoori Sabji HOT, it was amazing! We will be back to the Tamarind Restaurant again soon.

Excellent meal - the samosa was the best one I have ever had. I think I will compare every samosa I have in the future to that one. It was perfection. It would have been nice to have some of the green sauce but it was served with a tamarind sauce that was very good. I really liked the cauliflower 65 and the naan bread was also delightful. We also ordered a dal dish and an eggplant dish; we asked for them spicy and they were! Very flavourful! I am looking forward to the leftovers tonight as there was a lot of food! The restaurant used linen tableclothes and napkins which I also find to be a nice touch and quite environmentally friendly as well.

We went to have dinner at Tamarind. Disappointed overall with the food. We ordered Masala Dosa, Chicken Village, Dal Makhani, Fish, Chilly Chicken & Lamb Kebab.Quality of food was not upto the mark. Chicken and lamb were not upto the mark. They did not seem fresh or properly cooked. Quality of naan, paranthas was really good. The service was really good. You need to improve your food game.I personally liked Dosa. Sambar was good but chutneys were horrible.Good dining experience and it is well connected with public transport on 8th street.

They have the best Paneer Tikka Masala in town! We enjoyed the smoky flavor and the aroma of the spices in tikka masala. It was yum!The Samosa filing tastes pretty authentic. My wife and I went for a supper and really loved the decor and the overall ambiance. They are quite new in town and all ears for any feedback. We had such a lovely experience here. Would highly recommend to pay a visit. Also, the current address will take you to Mr. Mikes Steakhouse but actually this restaurant is right behind Shoppers drug mart and next to Deluxe Paints.

we ordered fruit salad when we came in, the size was decent but they could have added more quantity according to the price. i have never seen any fruit salad with mint leaves in it.

I have got my main dishes Cochin Lamb Curry with medium spicy. Little bit strong flavour is good for lamb if you don’t like that fatty taste. I love it, just trying to taste how spicy it could be. For most Canadian people, medium is strong, no so recommend. The curry with herbs mix taste so good, with the Chapatti (whole wheat Indian traditional flat bread) is even better.Healthy and full of creamy curry spicy flavours in your mouth, which is really enjoyable for me. I love multi-layered flavour combinations, this is great.I also order a Prawns Biriyani, I like those long size rice stuff with extra taste. Little bit sweet and sour stimulates my tongue, which pushes me want to eat more.Very clean and simple renovated dinning area with Indian dance background music, it is very Indian style. Also the food tastes great, good for people have the first try.

Great Indian food and decent prices - took the family, and we all enjoyed it. You can customize the spice level for those who need it toned down. A pleasant surprise was the table settings with tablecloths, cloth napkins, and nice stemware and silverware.

Went for dinner based on a relative's recommendation, and it did not disappoint. A classy dining experience from the start, and the food was excellent. Note that the dishes have a thicker consistency here so think more stew than just sauce. Excellent spice kick! Definitely try the dosas. Not something that you get often and it sure tastes authentic.

New Indian restaurant in town. Very convenient location. Just behind Grosvenor park shoppers. Maintaining clean and sanitizing between guests. Food is good. Especially non veg foods. The host and hostess were very polite and helpful.
