i had such a refreshingly good experience with this business and the personnel that i dealt with. first one, then another of my shade-o-matic blinds failed. the company i bought them from, as well as several other people (including my mother), suggested i give blind master a call to arrange for repairs. i spoke with stuart, was quoted prices for pick-up, dismount, remount, and repairs. we agreed on a schedule etc. sean came to dismount. he was right on time, worked really clean, was easy to talk to, and ready with helpful information. the turn-around time was also just as we discussed. they had the repairs done and the blinds re-installed in 24 hours!BUT GET THIS......the morning of the day the blinds were to be re-installed i got a call from sean to inform me that for some reason one of the blinds that was not working when he picked it up seemed to be working just fine once they hung it up for assessment in the shop. neither of us could account for it but he said they would review the condition closely and see if we missed anything that could have been a problem. he called me back a little later to say that everything seemed fine and that THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE for the time they spent on it as they would only charge for an actual completed repair. blew my mind!!!! they could have so easily just charged me anyhow and i would never have known the difference. they spent time to diagnose and could easily have charged me for that. instead they stepped up with real integrity and were utterly straight with me. i was charged reasonably for the blind they repaired so well and there was no further charge (or worse... deceit). this speaks to a practice of HONESTY rarely encountered once your product is behind the doors of a repair service. i think everybody has had the experience of feeling fleeced so you likely know what i mean.to top it off, sean did a minor repair to a dislodged cap on the headstock of a third shade-o-matic blind hanging in the same room. no charge.i can not recommend this business enough for both their good work, adherence to scheduled repairs, and above all their outstanding integrity and honesty. i wish more businesses were this up front and accommodating to their customers.so to stuart and sean, thank you so very much!!!to anyone needing their blinds repaired or cleaned.... you can engage this outfit with complete confidence. just give them a call. you will NOT be disappointed.jeff g.

Called Hunter Douglas and they said this store is the warranty shop for Winnipeg. Lifetime warranty, well I guess its not according to Blindmaster rep we had on the phone. Very little help, not friendly and offered no other solutions, will not be spending any money at this place.

Terrible experience. I brought my blinds here for repair just over a year ago and when the string broke again (and I am very gentle with my blinds) they were unapologetic, rude, dismissive and condescending. They wanted to charge me $110 to get them fixed again when last year it was only $85. Poor workmanship combined with even poorer customer service. Do not waste your money here.This owner's response is an even bigger reason not to shop here. Referring to customers' valid complaints as vindictive" and "attempting to tarnish" their reputation instead of taking any responsibility is disgusting. This owner clearly creates nebulous "rules" as a way of avoiding responsibility for blind repairs that barely last a year and then attacks the customer's character when they take issue with it. Shame on you

I took my blinds here for repair and it took just 2 days. Initially, I couldn't believe that it will be that fast. Besides that, the blinds were neatly fixed for a reasonable price too. I like the fact that I was given an idea of what I was to pay (which never changed)on the phone even before I took it there (which some repairers find hard to do). Owner also takes feedbacks seriously from his responses to reviews here - a lot of business could learn from this. Absolutely satisfied customer. Well done blind master. Kelvin

We had our Hunter Douglas blinds cleaned by Blind Master and they did an amazing job. They were courteous and efficient. We would not hesitate to go back there for any service or need for blinds.

Hello! I felt that it was important to leave a positive review after my experiences here, especially in light of the negative review that I read before coming. I had 3 blinds repaired here, on two separate occasions and I found the service to be top-notch. The turn-around time was 3 days at most, and the person that I dealt with was friendly and professional. I can't speak to their pricing because luckily my blind repairs were covered under warranty (Hunter Douglas). I'm confident that I'll receive good service again if I have future blind repairs to bring here. Thank-you very much, and I hope that my review is helpful to anyone else deciding to bring their blind(s) here for service.

We had 2 large Hunter Douglas blinds installed by Blind Master. We found the company to be efficient, honest and pleasant in all of our dealings. We were impressed with the knowledge of the staff and appreciated Stuart’s patience in taking the time to be sure we were confident with how the blinds worked to ensure their longevity. There were no hidden costs and they were always clear with the cost. We also had a Hunter Douglas blind fixed and cleaned at Blind Master a few years ago.We were very pleased with the results. Any blinds that we purchase in the future will be from Blind Master.

We asked for vertical blinds to be cut, which we could not get done anywhere else. They estimated two days to finish the job, but they were done in one day. Exceptional service and friendly people. Quality of the work great and at an affordable price. Highly recommend them.

My experience with Blind Master was fantastic. I had placed an order with them for 3 blinds back in the beginning of November. I was told due to Covid-19 that it would take 5-6 weeks for 2 out of 3 blinds to arrive. Which is understandable given that shipping routes and manufactures are not able to work at 100% capacity. I was told the third blind would arrive sometime mid January because the mechanism for the roller was on a tremendous back order cause of Covid-19. All 3 blinds arrived before what they actually told me so by over estimating the time I was happy when everything arrived earlier than what I was told. The installation took no time at all and was done to my satisfaction. If you are truly looking for high quality and great expertise I believe Blind Master far surpasses anyone else. The most enjoyable part of my experience has to be that I felt like a client and not a customer which I feel a lot of other businesses fail to do. I highly recommend asking for David to help with your selection of blinds in store as he was very diligent and understood exactly what I was looking for and he would also update me about when the blinds would be arriving. The installation of the blinds was done by Shawn and I couldn't be happier to have him come into my home to do this for me. Shawn was very polite and respectful and was a fantastic man to converse with. These two individuals from what I have gathered take great pride in their work and have your best interests in my mind Blind Master is very lucky to have these two men working for them.
