Saint Germain Bakery
I usually order cakes from this Coquitlam location. Never had any problems before.However, here's what happened today. Ordered cake and macaroni boxset online on May 15, for pick up on May 24. When I got there, they said macarons are not available. There was no phone call or email to advise me that. Also, they refunded the wrong amount of money. No apologies whatsoever. It seem like they didn't bother.

I have been kept buying my birthday day on the Coquitlam center store for years. But I found that the quality is getting worse and worse. I brought the fresh mango cake today, which I ordered yesterday and asked them for the fresh mango and please try pick the sweet mango. But unfortunately, the mango does go well as it is very sour and no one likes it, furthermore, the cream in the cake is not fresh, as least it is not the fresh cream that made the same day. It must sits for few day as it tasted so thick and oily. It seems not right compare to what I ordered so many years. I think it is time to me to stop buying and try something new. So upset to get what we had today, especially for its quality and freshness.

The staff here are so friendly and I usually drop by in the morning when their stuff is warm and fresh. I prefer this location over the one in Metrotown.

I bought a coconut cocktail bun and I’m not sure what was used in the filling, but I’m 100% sure it wasn’t sugar. Baking soda maybe? This was the first time I’ve gotten one from this location, I’ve never had any problems with the one at Guildford mall.

Oh.My.God this place had a delicious cake. Okay, granted I only went there once and got a custom made chocolate cake but it was perfect. My kids loved it, I loved it and there were no left overs to think of! I know this place is still hiring and looking to get things in order (I think) so their selection isn't as great, but I will be coming back for more.The lady serving me was also super cheery, which is always nice!

This place has so many yummy treats its very hard to choose. We decided on a pastry that was layered with a filling in between. It was like nothing I've ever tasted before. So so great!!

Love my birthday cake from here! Chestnut cream and real fruits with less amount of syrup which I’m super allergic to! Thank you for a beautiful cake!

I normally don’t mind their bakery but it’s definitely not as good as it used to be. I got two matcha buns and both were raw inside. I didn’t bother taking it back. And the cost of their egg tarts went up a lot. It’s almost $2 per egg tart.
