On May 23, 2023 we had to take my senior mom to Georgetown Hospital where she remained for a few weeks. During that time (starting with the 911 operator and paramedics) to the emergency doctors and nurses, the ward doctors and nurses, and so many others, we experienced first rate customer care. After a few days I was contacted by the Geriatric Psychiatrist and Social Worker. They arranged a family meeting with us which was attended by Dr. Howarth, Dr. Zettler, Nicole Castillo, Alanna Thompson and someone from physio. They took the time needed to explain how my mother was doing and what our next steps were. We were not rushed in any way whatsoever. I cannot express enough appreciation for all the support we received.

A week ago, I found myself chasing down a tennis ball on Acton's public tennis courts in the June heat. I hadn't played much tennis in the last decades--and barely moved since the lockdowns--so when I slammed on the brakes I ended up on the warm asphalt in a puddle of my own blood. My court mates wasted no time in delivering me to Georgetown's ER: not exactly a place I wanted to be but I report that I was well cared for here. After a pleasant meeting with Maureen (?) in Triage, standout care was delivered by a bright Dr. Williams and her nocturnal crew. My injury was not serious (fractured forearm) but I could not have recovered without their help. This week I met with the hard working surgical nurses Jennifer, Larry and Denise among others and received superb care from Dr. Venkateswaran... Also fine care from Lorenzo and other staff at the Fracture Clinic.

Was brought to the hospital at 630pm by ambulance on July 3rd, 2023. Possibly heart attack. They assumed it was angina. Sent to the waiting room. Time is now12:55am and I am still sitting here in the waiting room. There is no excuse or explanation for having to wait 7 hours! Just what the hell is going on in emergency? Are there only 2 people working? Finally get called in and put in treatment room 13 at 2:30am am still waiting an hour later because apparently no doctors picked up my chart and they are very busy. So been here a total of 9 hours.

I have been in the Georgetown hospital so many times, as a visitor and a patient. The staff at this location are absolutely wonderful. From their bedside manner, right to bending over backwards for their patients. Their kind, there so personable. I have a preference in choosing my favorite, it would be Robin the nurse in the emergency depth. Good job Robin. Keep smiling.

This hospital is absolutely terrible. Inattentive nursing staff, unprofessional and highly inexperienced. My husband was admitted and I was not allowed to stay because there was Covid patients" on the floor. Yet none of the staff was wearing PPE and masks were not mandatory. Additionally the nursing staff see nothing wrong with putting an IV line in someone without wearing gloves. When I asked why I was given the excuse that it was "too hard" to do with proper PPE on. This place is disgusting. Blood on the floor and various caps and covers that make it easy for patients to slip and fall. Poor room accommodations

Came in for my 5 year old who had a high fever that wouldn’t go away. Staff was nice. But waited almost 5 hours to be put in what looked like a filthy storage room!!! There was dust EVERYWHERE, a bin FULL of soiled linens and what looked like blood on the floor. NOT suitable or sanitary for a sick toddler!

Worst hospital and maternity ward you would never want to visit. In your entire life1. Communication Gap- appointment with doctor was set for delivery date but hospital staff told us to return home... That too is happening in last week of pregnancy.2. All communication at provided last minute...like clothing and transportation or paper work was done only last minute... Not details or briefing was provided to us about the steps involved in whole process and roles and responsibilities3. Staff is very rude ..very disrespectful... Intimidated my wife with security personal ..because my wife was questioning about the processOverall -5 should be the right rating
