Dog Lake Resort

Went out two years ago, wife and I swore never to go back. Rented the Petit Retreat cabin. We asked for a quiet cabin away from everyone else. There was a repeated flow of foot traffic going by the place along with a maintenance guy staying in the cabin eight feet away who felt the need to talk about how he'd be naked in the sauna with his big _____ hanging out later that evening. Their website at the time had said there was a dining room with tavern. There was none. Its' not open to the public anymore". We were left with only the finger food and snacks we brought which we ate for breaKfast

This was my second visit and I can't wait to go back! We caught pike, bass, and Walleye. Everyone was so friendly and the kids had a blast. It is so easy to stay in the self catering cabins. We really liked the fishing boat with the fish finder and live well.

The cabin was beautiful, had everything you need for a home away from home. The beach and water was excellent. Lots of dock space for your boat and the owner was very friendly! Parking. Could be a little better marked but all in all my family loved there stay!

I was up there in August of 2015. Bear hunting. I shot a 330 pound black bear. Experience up there was perfect l. recommend this Resort hospitality was great. I plan on going back up there in the future it is a great experience.

The road going into the resort was absolutely terrible. They are not lying when they say the longest three miles ever. The boat launch has nails sticking out of it, tight quarters with concrete barriers on both sides. I will not be going back.

A little rustic but it serves as an excellent base for visitors coming up for fishing, hunting or just a break from a more urban setting.

I have stayed here several times and give it a full 5 stars. Amazing views, great fishing, clean cabins, wonderful hosts.
