I am not a perfectionist but I do appreciate when services are completed with competence and care as that is how I approach my work, myself - if a client is not happy, nor am I.Having recently dropped my denture on a hard surface, it broke in two pieces so I fastened it with a super glue which created a very good bond but unfortunately, I did not align the pieces precisely and could not, without great difficulty, remove the denture once placed in my mouth - subsequently, I broke it again trying to remove it, but in a different spot.Being new to the city, I was not familiar with a clinic but chose Belleville Dental on the basis of among other assurances, their web site claim “Our goal is to create a personalized denture that you will feel great about!”. At my initial visit, the receptionist was helpful and pleasant, the denturist in my interview, polite and reassuring. They offered overnight service which was also appreciated.Since the denture had well served its purpose before being broken, the pieces merely required to be attached in their original, correct positions and the denture would have fit as snugly as it had previously. Of course, in the process of repair, I understood that adjustments may have been necessary to accommodate a proper fit. At the first attempt to fit the denture the following day, it was so tight it would not insert so the denturist proceeded to trim it down to accommodate a better alignment. Three more attempts and I still could not insert it without excessive effort. After the forth try, he had removed so much material that the unit literally dropped loosely from the roof of my mouth. I was informed that nothing more could be done and was told to use an adhesive, which, in the 15 year life of this denture, I had never required the use of. I confronted the denturist with moderate disapproval but was rebuffed several times, not offered an iota of compensation and given no recourse but to leave. Reluctantly, I paid the full amount. I would have appreciated a discount not so much for the money, but for the simple admission of a poorly executed, rushed repair but that wasn’t even a consideration.The experience left me with more problems than solutions, a vocal slur, a total dissatisfaction with the outcome and figuratively, a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend their services to anyone - buyer beware.
