Consulate of Kazakhstan in Toronto

Excellent service with a very polite and understanding attitude. The staff waited for me to get back from the bank and prepared my documents as well as provided consultancy for other issues even though it was almost half an hour beyond the Consulate closing time. I am sure this is one of the best experiences I ever had in many years.

My wife who is a Kazkhstan citizen and needed some urgent help for travel to Kazakhstan with her passport expiring soon.Miss. Karlygash at Kazakhstan Consulate in Toronot was professional and supportive and provided assistance as needed. Great job!

I liked the service. All questions are answered by the phone, they even waited 10 extra minutes for me to bring documents for visa. When there was a deficiency in docs, they called me.

The rudest service I have ever seen! Called the embassy to ask a question regarding the documents, the woman was so rude and did not want to listen, told me to call later (in such a voice as if I should have known that), I wanted to know what time should I call them back, she simply hang up on me! How unprofessional! I am a citizen of Kazakhstan and the Embassy should respect people at least because they work in a business environment. Very disappointing.Upd: I got a call from Embassy to discuss the situation. I was surprised and happy to hear the apologizing and also all my questions were solved. I hope this situation will occur in the future.

Quiet environment, polite service.I called in looking for instructions on migration registration card mandatory for foreigners to have while traveling to Kazakhstan. The consular said it is beyond his scope pf responsibilities to advise on this subject... Not kind of advise one expects from the official representative of the country, but that type of advise (or the lack of thereof) was in line with my expectations from Kazakhstan official anyway, so I was not surprised. Did a research myself. Overall - if you are a Canadian citizen - you don't need a visa for up to 30 days, and if you left KZ legally - you won't have issues on the border. Registration card (see attached) is being filled out on board of an airplane or @ airport of arrival, being verified and stamped by the officials upon arrival. Keep it to return it at the border when leaving the country and that's it. You DON'T NEED to do anything else, NO NEED to visit police department at the place of residence. Oh, and if you travelling via Moscow SVO (Sheremetyevo) - no need for a Russian transit VISA, as long as you stay less then 24 hours AND not leaving the terminals D,E and F (one building) (you will pass through 30 sec passport control though)
