Telegraph Cove Resort
A fantastic base to go bear-watching or whale-watching.The resort itself is a bit dilapidated in places (our chalet had a distinct lean to one side & was very creaky) but is characterful & staffed by a great group of people.The bear tour was exceptional: our captain & guide pulled out all the stops to provide us with the experience of a lifetime. Nature is unpredictable but the team gave us unforgettable moments & lots of bears!

Beautiful place to visit. You can rent houses/rooms on the boardwalk. Each with their own little piece of history that is documented on plaques outside the house. It's a great sort of base camp for exploring around the area as well. My wife and kids did the whale watching and loved it while I went out exploring. And really, prices weren't that bad for an entire house sleeping 7 of us. Kids still talk about it and that was about 2 years ago.

Wonderful experience staying at Telegraph Cove. Excellent food at the Killer Whale Cafe and a great local beer selection in the Old Saltery Pub next door. The Whale Centre is fascinating and the hiking, fishing and kayaking all excellent. You can stay at the campsite over at Bauza Cove or in one of the original restored historic buildings on the boardwalk or in room at the Lodge which has amazing views of the ocean and Cove.

This was, by far, the most scenic waterfront home-away-from-home I have ever experienced!The food at the restaurant was wonderful, the marina was incredibly quiet, the cabins were clean and everything is in walking distance.I was overjoyed to have the Mother Daughter trip finally fulfilled and everything exceeded my expectations.Bravo Gordie, Leo, and the entire Telegraph crew.

I'm not from the area so I was just blown away by the seclusion and quiet of this charming resort. A network of restored wooden cabins right on the boardwalk of an old village in a secluded bay in northern Vancouver Island. The staff was great, the rooms were even better. Highly recommended if what you want is peace and quiet in a place with no TV and no WiFi. I will definitely return as soon as I can to enjoy the best of what the Island has to offer.

It was a very pleasant and quaint surprise, for somewhere so remote. Food service was very quick and quite good considering local challenges. Had a lovely cabin (forget name, but it was half of a blue duplex, with a porch). Well kept, nice little kitchen, 3 bedrooms & 2 baths, fireplace & wood, appropriately rustic.

Telegraph Cove Resort
Telegraph Cove is an amazing piece of history. You have a choice of traditional Lodge accommodation or historic homesteads which are very clean but showing their age; which you wouldn't want any other way as it provides the charm. The restaurant food was excellent. In addition, whale watching, kayaking & grizzly tours are available on site. Well worth a visit.

$5 for day parking, without the option for an hourly rate has cash grab written all over it. It's not like there's a shortage of space, this place is in the middle of no where!
