Taste Of The Orient Restaurant
Located in downtown. Restaurant size is small. Buffet and ordered food are available. Take home also available. Lunch Buffet Mon - Friday 11:30 am to 2 pm for $12.99. Dinner buffet Friday- Sunday 5 pm to 8 pm for $18.99. Ordered food is better than the buffet one. Fried chicken, seafood and spicy soup are good quality than other items. Foods price is reasonable. Washroom is fairly clean. Parking lots including para parking available. Restaurant is accessible. Recommend others to try this restaurant.

It was definitely the best, but lately it has not been as good. The last time we ordered there were frozen mixed veggies in the rice. With the amount we pay, I expect better. As well, it is definitely better when you eat in.

Taste Of The Orient Restaurant
I see that many reviewers are very negative on this place. Funny thing is the staff are always friendly to me and since I do not like going to chain restaurants when I travel, I want to get something different and this place is one of the best mom and pops in town. I have a vegetarian friend who is very picky about his food, and this place is his favorite.

This restaurant was good food and good service at 1 point. Now they do not want to take orders for delivery. They want you to order through skip the dishes. I had been trying to place an order and they answered and hang up 3x. I guess they don't want my business.

Totally unhappy with the meal I ordered tonight Dec 23/22We ordered chicken balls, Rice, moo goo guy pan, honey garlic ribs and 2 egg rolls.Well to start the egg rolls were the store bought ones not the usual Chinese's food ones ( yuck) the ribs, I assume it was ribs had some batter over bones- no meat at all nearly broke a tooth when I bite into it. rice seemed to store bought frozen rice. Chicken balls and moo goo was just ok. We spent $90 and thought we’d have enough for left overs but there wasn’t enough for one meal and sure wouldn’t want to eat it the second time.Disgusting and disappointing meal.I’ll keep looking for good Chinese food.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner here yesterday, February 9th 2023. Amazing service, very kind waitresses. We ordered Crispy ginger beef, regular ginger beef, salt and pepper squid, chicken chowmein noodles, chicken fried rice, and mozzarella stick. It was amazing, by far the best Chinese I’ve had in fortmac. We ate in the restaurant and still had enough to take home for lunch the next day. Spent under $100 for the food. Will be going again. And took a take out menu as they’re not on skip the dishes.

We would come here regularly to eat and was never turned away. We arrived at the resturant at 9:20pm on Friday night and the place closes at 10pm (which is plenty of time to eat, I wouldn't go to any resturant 30 mins or less) The waitress told us that it's pick up only no eat in.

Taste Of The Orient Restaurant
My girlfriend and I just dined here. Amazing customer service, a full menu of great options, and when the food arrived it smelled and tasted wonderful. Nothing was greasy, or drowned in msg or sauces. Best Chinese food in town hands down. 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone I know and we will be back again for sure!
