Bikram Yoga Edmonton-Strathcona

wow..... I used to really like this studio...hadn't been in awhile...but was just checking out their website because I wanted to start going there again....but after reading why they are no longer Bikram...which I can understand.... I no longer want to go, and not because it is not Bikram...but because there was so much negativity and anger on their website..... the negativity just went on and on. It's okay to have those opinions...but do not have so much negativity on your website, it does not draw more customers in. People who practice yoga are trying to avoid negativity even if it is for just 90 minutes. But to read the owners statements which contained paragraph after paragraph of poor me " attitude....it was quite unreal... Perhaps people would not have flocked to the other

This is the only Bikram studio I've ever gone to, so my opinion is likely biased. BUT. I just wanted to make sure that the old comments are explained.THE STUDIO NO LONGER HAS CARPET!!!!! Don't worry about all those reviews!!!!Also, the most recent review of the 1hr classes.... I don't like this change, but, having a general understanding of running a business, I understand the switch. I imagine that with time they'll have more teachers and be able to have a better schedule - they said the 3:30 would be back when they got another instructor.Other than that, the location is fantastic, all the staff are quite awesome (there have been a few duds) and they really seem to take feedback seriously, so if you ever have an issue, don't hesitate to talk them about it.

I just recently moved to Edmonton and I have been practicing Bikram yoga for about 8 years. I was excited when I saw this studio in my neighbourhood so I looked up times which I could practice and then I noticed they are offering 60 minutes classes. Almost all of their classes were 60 minutes in the evening. Well, last time I practiced Bikram yoga it was a 90 minute class. It always has been. The part I am questioning is why are they calling it Bikram then. If you're going to have a 60 minute class then fine, don't call it Bikram because it's not. I enjoy Bikram yoga not modified Bikram yoga". Shocking they aren't calling themselves Biksha (you know Moksha + Bikram). Safe to say I am very disappointed. Is there a real Bikram Studio out there?? Anyone
