Oakham Cafe
Empty cafe, thought it would be perfect place to comfortably get some work done. Ordered coffee and food. A rude staff followed me to my table and said I can’t sit and eat the food or coffee in the cafe since it was take out. I asked if I could change my order, she said no. I asked if I could order something else to warrant me staying there, she said “Um no”. Here’s a cool idea: make the sign that has this ridiculous rule ELIGIBLE and have your baristas and cashiers remind customers before they place orders. Never spent money at a place and been immediately kicked out for it in my life.. such a frustrating interaction. I will eagerly be sharing my experience with other students. Waste of time & money.

The staff at Oakham are very friendly and hospitable. However, I was very disappointed with the meal I had. I order a vegan grilled cheese with a side of vegan soup, but the soup had meat in it. When asked, they said they made a mistake. But I still had to pay for the soup. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be dining here again.

The most budget friendly place on TMU campus. All the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Great place to grab breakfast or lunch before or after a class.

The food variety is great, specially for ones who want a healthy choice or even vegan. The staff are not the best, they tend to do minor mistakes every time I go, but no big deal. Between classes 1 hour gap is enough for me to order, eat and pay, and I get to be served well and eat healthy and catchup with some good friends. It also has an area with couches and board games if you just want to hangout after classes.

Love this place! Super affordable and delicious. There are also plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. A variety of breakfast (served all day) and lunch options. I usually get the Student Loan Special" which is the cheapest meal that includes eggs

The food is good and the service is great with friendly staff. Great place to eat between classes. Sometimes need to wait to seat when they busy, but staff makes us comfortable and pleased to wait. They also have take-away food if you don't want to wait
