Hounds On Holiday Inc... The Unique Alternative to Kennels

We had a wonderful experience having our dog Helix stay with a Hounds on Holiday host. Helix is a rescue dog with anxiety so we've been reluctant to board him while travelling. He clearly thrived while we were visiting family over the holidays. The daily reports and photos reduced our anxiety and made our trip more enjoyable knowing Helix was well cared for. Our family will definitely use Hounds on Holiday again, and highly recommend their services.

We were so pleased with our experience with hounds on holiday. The host family was well equipped to handle our 6 month old Doberman who can be quite high energy! We received several updates as to how our puppy was doing and Gaynor matched our dogs needs with an appropriate host. We have been using Hounds on Holiday ever since our dog was a puppy. We have always been very happy and comfortable sending our dog away to the carefully selected and matched host families.In the nearly 4 years that we’ve used Hounds on Holiday, we’ve had fairly regular consistency of host families which is great because they get to know your dog. Also we like that sometimes our dog will be hosted with another dog, which is great if your dog is social and enjoys playing with other dogs like ours does!It’s really a nice touch to receive email updates and photos of your dog while you are away.The positive excitement Boomer has when Gaynor arrives to pick him up speaks volumes.

Hounds on Holiday were wonderful to work with! They were very helpful on short notice and Gaynor worked hard to find us the perfect family for our two dogs to stay with. Receiving pictures and updates about the dogs during our time away was reassuring and appreciated, and having the dogs picked up from and dropped off at our home was a huge plus! We will definitely be using this service again.

Hounds on Holiday has been a gift! So easy to book and great communication while I’m away to keep me up to date about my dog. The caregivers love my dog as much as I do and no problems with administering her meds and following her schedule. I highly recommend Hounds On Holiday! Our little 6lb dog who needs a lot of love and companionship just had a 9 night stay with a wonderful host family while we were away on vacation. The experience with Gaynor was fantastic - she easily accommodated our last-minute request for boarding and placed our little one with a very loving family. The emails and photos that we received of our dog throughout our vacation put us totally at ease and made our trip that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be placing our little fur baby in Gaynor and her team's care every time we go away from here on out. Hounds on Holiday takes the stress out of going on vacation. It is such a relief to be able to go on a vacation and completely relax knowing that your pet is being taken such good care of! We have used H.O.H. on several occasions, with our current 16 month old Bernedoodle, and previously with our Boxer. Each time we use this service we are simply amazed at how easy and stress free it is! With ongoing photo updates we receive while on vacation, it is comforting to know (and see) that our little boy is having as much fun on his holiday as we are... We have used Hounds on Holidays several times now when we go on vacation. It gives us great comfort to know our dog is well taken care of, in a loving and safe environment. We receive regular updates, with photos, so it gives you some idea of how your friend is doing on their “vacation”. We don’t like traditional kennels, this is a far better experience for our dog and I highly recommend the service Gaynor and the host families provide. Bottom line, we wouldn’t keep coming back if we didn’t genuinely feel our dog is well taken care of, with people that truly love animals.
