I moved to Edmonton recently, so I opened an account with servus. I also applied for a loan and line of credit. I have excellent credit, so I knew this would be accepted.The woman who was to set up the loan called me a couple days later and left a voicemail. When I tried to call her back, she never answered. Regardless of the day or time I called back, there was never an answer on her line. For the next 3 weeks, she only called me during work hours when I was clear that I couldn't answer my cell phone. I tried emailing her, but she said we can only speak by phone. Over the next few weeks she missed several days because she was sick, etc.Eventually, over email, I convinced her to take her lunch at a different time and call me on my break. That day came and went, and no phone call. The next day, she claimed there was a family emergency. We finally spoke, and what she needed to tell me was to bring in a more recent pay stub and t4, as well as switch my work deposit to servus. I was baffled why this took 3 weeks to tell me, and couldn't be told over email or voicemail. There was no personal information shared.Because I only get paid once a month, this switch could not happen for another 5.5 weeks, thus making a relatively small and simple loan application take over 2 months. The woman said there was no exceptions or ways around this.Customer service had emailed me, asking me for feedback on their service so I filed a complaint via email.I was told the assistant manager was on vacation and would call me upon return. I never heard back, and again followed up. I requested to cancel my account, again told someone would be in touch. Never heard back.I went in to the branch, to transfer money to a friend in another city with the same bank. The teller was clearly new, and didn't know how to do it. A supervisor came by, and said she didn't know how to do it, so we had to wait for the only other teller to become available and help.This teller came over eventually, and attempted the transfer, but messed something up, and had to start over. A simple account transfer that I could do in seconds online or mobile via my BC account, took nearly 45 minutes. All the while I remained polite and understanding, and they thanked me for my patience, assuring me it doesn't usually take this long for a transfer.Back to the loan, I never heard back and then today I received a cheque in the mail, re: close out. No letter, explanation, phone call, apology, or email back.I'm just shocked that I could experience such terrible service. I was never an irate customer so I'm not sure why nobody wanted to get back to me regarding a valid complaint. I have excellent credit, so obviously I would pay the loan, and they would make some money off of me.I'm just baffled and disappointed. In the meantime, I set up an account and loan with another bank. It took 3 days.

If I could go over 5 stars for Daniel Plopianu I would. He helped my roomates and I sort our our banking on more than one occasion when it felt like no one else was trying to give us answers. He spent time listening to understand and has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions to give us the help we needed. From sitting in his office sorting things out, to courtesy calls checking in on our situation I would recommend him 10/10 for all your banking needs and financial assistance.Thanks again Danny!

Worst customer service 1 teller and 3 others just standing around. Worse servus I have been to. Waited 20 minutes to tell customers the system was down then. The tellers decided to start being rude to me with the other customer. Most un professional bank I have ever been to

Please heed the lesson from the following story. I beg you.This is not a useful bank!IF you are looking for savings, use tangerine or one of its online competitors. Only thing I would have to say isthey do not have debit machines or what some would call Point of Sale machines. I'm sorry but whoever is managing this branch must be off his/her rocker if he/she thinks that saving a few thousand dollars on these machines is worth the inconvenience it places on their customers. DO they understand what a bank is for? How do I pay for something through you? Why did you think this was a good idea? So moving along after signing up and finding out that this branch had no machines to do transfer with I asked why wouldn't I just use Tangerine or someone else? No answer. I live in the area so was hoping to keep the account but the inconvenience of this just made less and less sense. Aside from the absolutely ancient technology, I hate to say because they are some very nice people that work there, they haven't been informed of the companies products to a very large degree. Again managements fault.SO we decided to cancel this account and they charged us 20 dollars so we went to pay. Guess what? NO debit machines. Use the ATM they said. Cost me 4.50 to take out 20 dollars to pay them. 24.50$If you want to save money go online with the Tangerine or other reputable services. You need full service TD or BNS. Thanks for listening.

I had a virtual appointment set up yesterday for today at 2:30. It is now 3:11pm and no one has called me. So I call the branch and get the call center instead with the number listed for the branch. Now sitting on hold to talk to someone when I had booked an appointment. Pretty pathetic customer service. Why bother making appointments if they don’t honor them?! I am severely disappointed with this service. Guess that’s why I am leaving. Oh and my appointment was to close my line of credit and accounts, guess they don’t want to call me to do that so they can keep charging me fees! As I listen all hold that they are one of the top banks. They sure aren’t with this service.

I really enjoyed the manager and advisor at this location he was extremely informative and really helped us out with our business account and personal accounts I've never had a problem at this location I wish it wasn't so far out of my way
