Don't waste your time with this professional". He argued with me about charity donations telling me I can only claim them for the current year. I actually had to pull up the Government website that states you can claim any previously unlcaimed receipts from the past 5 years. Then he wouldn't file my RRSP contribution for the first 60 days of 2018 because the receipt says "contributions made within the first 60 days after the end of 2017" which to him means I can only file it in 2017 snd not either or. Then to boot

Went to file personal taxes in the Waterloo location. Was the laziest tax consultant I have seen. If you don't have an online profile pre-created to make their lives easy, they will likely omit required documents and you will get audited and fined. Personal example is that he did not include the education forms readily available and provided to him by me as PDFs.

Don't go here for international taxes. Incredible headache six months later.Edit: Changing from 2 stars to 1 star since the business owner reply is allegedly revealing personal information about the tax case involved, which a tax professional should really never do (nevermind the separate issue of whether or not it's true). I definitely stand by my review.

Been going here for my personal taxes for as long as i have been filling. Always amazing service and makes the process very easy. And fees are very reasonable. would most definitely recommend!

Edit RE: Owner ReplyUpon being told the price of $90+tax I replied “oh you don’t offer a student rate?” To which I was told “you are only part time” to which I said “no I’m full time but I was in an 8-month co-op last year” which I was told “I don’t consider you a full-time student” (despite me currently being enrolled full-time in this term). As mentioned in my review, I paid the $90 rather than going elsewhere as I don’t have time to file elsewhere. I was not told anything about the $90 being a discount, only that I wasn’t eligible for a student rate and that I would have to pay the full $90. I have never been told that my tax return was complex, and it took less than 30 minutes from when I arrived to when I left.Also, to the owner, please remove the portions of your comment where you publicly discuss the nature and contents of my tax return on an open forum.Happy with everything except that they charged me $90 + tax and refused to give me a student rate since I did a co-op placement during the tax year, so they said they don’t consider me as a full-time student despite co-op being a part of my degree. If I didn’t wait so long to file I would’ve just went to another branch to get a student discount, typically I pay $45 to have mine filed.Just an FYI to co-op students since this is the closest Liberty Tax to the University of Waterloo which had a large co-op student population, you may be better off getting taxes done elsewhere that considers you a student and will give you a student rate

Really bad serviceEDIT - LOL just like all your other reviews keep making excuses.He sent me the authorization yesterday with my middle name as my first name and I told him to change it - he wouldnt respond- I waited a day - after I told him ill take my business somewhere else, he was like you can call. Just do your job better bro, instead of making dumb excuses here.

Please, if you don't want to have high blood pressure the year you file your tax and even 3 years after when the CRA comes to you and says you still owe them after you payed them already don't go to this guy. He lacks empathy and isn't willing to review details. He will actually screw you like that's what he is paid to do.

This was my first time doing my taxes and they made my first time as easy as can be. Abdul was incredibly quick to reply, very helpful and friendly throughout the experience. I was able to complete the whole process through emails and with the incredibly fast response time the process was finished very quickly. Made sure to call in advance to figure out what time they’re open until; was told 9. I came in before 8:00 to find the place closed with no one there and had to commute back another 30 mins in the cold.
