Port of Halifax

Big trucks, big boats and long trains, what worse could you want from a transportation hub in the western hemisphere

As a seafarer this is the best port I have been to.

I am writing this review because I ported at Halifax on the Norwegian Breakaway on August 26, 2022 and would like to suggest that the port, city or province spend a bit of money on customer relations/service. I asked at the Pier 22 Pavilion welcome desk if there was a bus I could take directly into town, nope. Have to go all over the city before it gets to town. Explain that to 4000 guest to your port please who are willing to spend money in your town?At the welcome desk we were told the port road shopping was an hour long walk to get to the end. After looking on Google Maps I don't believe that is true, but could I suggest if it is in fact an hours walk distance a tram system to pick up people along the shopping area route along the port. Would be helpful and people would go further if they knew they could get a ride back.

A nice small port with big movements of sea vessels. When I was in Halifax I saw a giant Norwegian Cruise ship called The Norwegian Joy" on the port. An ideal place to walk around

The ships, culture, market, excitement, dreams, plans, MAGNITUDE - all words that describe this fantastic historical port!

Nice and long boardwalk.

This port has a long boardwalk featuring restaurants, museums, public green space and a hopscotch" type game painted on a small section for all ages to enjoy! Cruise ships dock on one end of this pier/boardwalk making easy on foot access to downtown Halifax. The Victorian gardens are about a 20 to 25 minute easy walk."

Serenity. Quietness. Staring into the sky and water is the best blessing from the heaven. Set away from the daily busy trivial and stay here for half an hour, and you will see what I mean. Dawn or dusk.

Port of Halifax is one of the most interesting in the worlld. Well organnized. Great container services. Largest holding area for a port holding area - Bedford Basin. Search the google mapp of the port. Look close. There are a number of great corpoations on the shores of the port!Also used by locals for fun sailing experiences!
