Lock One Animal Hospital

I had an appointment elsewhere and it was too busy and chaotic. The previous hospital accidentally cancelled my appointment.I'm now going to this hospital with my dog since they were all to fit us in. It's a small clean office that manages flow of incoming and outgoing clients with ease. I needed a quieter place for my older dog. We're both less stressed and happier since moving to Lock One.

We moved to St. Catharines in 2022 and reached out to lock one animal hospital for our puppy's vaccination as he was only 4 months when we moved here. Dr. Geoff is amazing as a first time dog mom I had zillion questions and he always answered them patiently. We welcomed another puppy this year and now both of our dogs go to lock one for all of their needs. We are really thankful for their whole staff who always make our experience awesome.LoveShibu & Gaara

Dr. Geoff and his entire team at Lock One Animal Hospital are by far, THE BEST I’ve ever worked with. I’ve had my furry family moved from one place to another never finding “the right fit”. Have you ever had that feeling deep down that screams “oh yeah, this is the right place and people”? Well, I’m happy to say that my 2 dogs and 1 cat are now happily loved and looked after at Lock One Animal Hospital! I visited Lock One Animal Hospital for the first time today with my two kittens and couldn't have had a better experience! The reception staff were warm and welcoming and Dr. Amanda made both the kittens and I feel safe and secure. She patiently answered all my questions and doted on my fur babies. I would highly recommend the practice, and have already forwarded their information to three of my friends who are looking to make a change.

The nicest people work here. The Veterinarian was very knowledgeable and extremely thorough in her examination of my cat Rocky." I appreciated that she took the time to explain everything to me as she went along and no question went unanswered. I think it's very important to feel comfortable and trusting of those who are caring for our sick "animals" and know they are in extremely capable hands.Our total Vet bill was far less than I expected and most importantly there were no surprises. Amazing office! My dog, Phoebe, loves going in for her checkups as the staff give her a ton of attention and love. We usually see Dr. Rianne, who is unbelievably sweet and caring, but I needed a last minute appointment for my dog’s ear infection (they fit me in that same day!!) so we saw Dr. Geoff. He was kind, explained everything to me in detail, and was even on the ground with Phoebe at one point to play and pet her. Honestly, best experience I’ve ever had with a vet’s office. The girls at reception are welcoming, sweet, and always so enthusiastic whenever we’re there. Highly recommend this office for anyone searching for top-notch pet care.

$1500 to have our chihuahuas teeth cleaned. 9-10 months later. Recommended having them done again. He’s 3 pounds and we don’t want him being put under more then he needs to be.*edit after owner response*We had his teeth cleaned by a third party and they told us his teeth appear to be strong at this point in time. They were able to clean his teeth without anesthesia and did a fantastic job for a great price. I have no issue paying for the service of a knowledgeable vet who cares about his patients. How could you recommend putting him under again in good faith less than a year later? Tartar/plaque builds up quick, we understand that. The recommendation to have his teeth done again under anesthesia was unacceptable in our eyes. To our understanding you could not even offer x rays. We respect your knowledge as a vet but we disagreed with your recommendation and felt it was unfair.

I want to express my gratitude to the reception staff, technicians, and Dr. Geoff for being so warm, welcoming, and caring. I called this morning because my dog Dexter was sick and I didn't have an appointment booked. I was so pleased that they did what they could to get him in the same day. My dog is extremely nervous around people and this was the first time that he was meeting Dr. Geoff. He took his time to make sure Dexter felt comfortable and got to know him before doing his exam. Dr. Geoff spent more time than he needed to make sure Dexter got the help he needed. I am thankful to have Lock One Animal Hospital as Dexter's vets. I know they will do everything they can to make sure he gets the care he needs. Thank you!

Went for the first time this past week and the service was great. Everyone was very nice. Once I recieved the price of $450 for checkup and blood work for my cat I asked if it included the urine test. They said yes.My cat did not have to go that day and when they called me back with the blood test they told me that the price for the urine test would be extra. They mentioned the price for the urine test of $450 was only for that day.I find that was very misleading and a money grab for more.

Very attentive, local, fairly priced, and professional. Our first visit with Dr Geoff. Our boys usually see Dr. Rianne.Very positive outcome, with a follow-up phone call detailing lab work.Great team!!!Thanks..Ed, the German Shepherd!!!
