Monarch Studios

This studio is top-notch. Yes the gear and layout are fantastic, the place is clean and bright, and there's plenty of room to load in and out equipment, but that's only the start. The most important feature was Alex. He was amazing sound engineer. Incredibly fast on the board and with mic setups, a great listener, always 100% present with us and attentive to our (admittedly often vague) artistic direction. I can't recommend this place more.

Tom, the owner, was very pleasant and easy to plan with. The studio and included facilities are amazing. The space is comfortable, clean, sounds great, and is full of fantastic equipment in good working order. The lounge area is also awesome. I worked with Olivia, a house engineer, to record drums. She was wonderful to work with and helped make the session a blast. We recorded drums over two days, and I am very pleased. I will be back to Monarch for my next project! Highly recommended!

Came in last week to record 2 tunes with our band. Tom made the whole experience a breeze with his professionalism, warm personality, and incredible talent. The studio was inspiring, well stocked, and everything you’d ever need. The finished products of the tunes were beyond our expectations, I highly recommend Monarch!

Utterly fantastic experience! From the moment we arrive till minutes after we left they were welcoming, professional, and kind to every single member of our crew. When discussing the bill, The owner was beyond kind and respectable and kept everything pinpoint accurate. To make matters even more amazing our studio assistant for the entire project was the head engineer herself. Having the head engineer is the assistant engineer made the process go at least five times smoother than it ever possibly could. It assisted us in keeping our project amazing, on budget, and sounding astounding. I’m already in the process of booking it for another Project as I’m writing this.

If you ever need to do a recording, this is the place to go. The space is beautiful, the acoustics (and the grand piano!) are fantastic, but most importantly - the people are wonderful. Tom was great with answering all of my questions leading up to our two day session, and Alex, our lovely and talented engineer, made us sound amazing. He helped create a very comfortable, creative and non-intimidating environment, which I really appreciated. I need to write some more music so I can go back there and record again! Thank you both so much - for everything!

Love this studio. I've done many projects here over the years, and Tom, Olivia, Alex, and the whole team are such a treat to work with. Facility and equipment are extremely well thought out and beautifully maintained, and the piano, in my opinion, is the best sounding in the city! Can't recommend enough.

I manage an Indie band. We had the pleasure of recording a number of new songs at Monarch Studios in August 2019. The studio is a terrific facility, very comfortable and equipped with all the gear and instruments you need to get great sound. Tom, the owner, is a wonderful person and a wizard at recording and producing and delivers great value. The band was thrilled with his work. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience recording at Monarch Studios! The studio is beautiful and has a great vibe. The piano is excellent, as is all the gear. We appreciated the little details and felt taken care of. Special shout out to our engineer Dave Sikula and assistant engineer Aaron Klassen, both musicians as well as recording engineers. They got great sounds and were quick and very supportive. Also, I was in love with the mic Dave chose for me. Can't say enough!

This is an awesome recording studio in east van on commercial drive just off the Victoria diversion. Their rooms are really nice and personnel is excellent and I suggest this for you're next recording studio.

Recorded a record here over the past year, and am currently back in the studio recording some more.... where to begin......?The studio itself is beautiful, with great mojo - imagine being in a very cozy, yet spacious, well lit environment filled with gorgeous vintage instruments and recording gear. Now imagine working with someone who is a musical and technological monster (Tom), yet who is one of the most chill, laid back professionals I've met - everyone there has one purpose - to help bring your creative vision to life. And are they ever good at it.I couldn't be happier with my experience here so far, and I intend to record here regularly.Tremendous end result, extremely satisfying experience, and excellent value for a top quality finished product.Record here.
