Not just a restaurant, but an experience, and a very nice one at that. The food was incredible, atmosphere was chill and the service was great. They tell you a story about each dish as it comes out and the presentation of the food really ups the game. They got a mention on the Michelin guide, but thankfully it's not quite Michelin pricing. Food was incredibly tasty with all kinds of flavours and types. Not a lot of menu selection overall, but this is the kind of place where they do what they do well. Servers were very entertaining and the timing of everything was great. Recommend for a special night out.

It’s gotten to the point where whenever my fam from NYC comes to town they ask to go here - which means we’ve come 3x within the past calendar year! I can’t say enough how nice and kind the service is. Highly recommend the steak tartare, foie gras, maitake mushroom, and the dry aged rib steak. The euro bass-en-croute is a showstopper dish as well. Do not miss out on the banana bread dessert…!

Very cozy little French restaurant! I had a very lovely dinner here. The were very flexible with providing gluten-free alternatives. You must try the Eurobass en croûte and pommes aligot! The Beef tenderloin was also very good!

Simply amazing! One of the best dining experiences I ever had. Service was on point from taking our coats and seating us at our table. We did the taste the menu option where we had a five course meal of seafood, meat, vege and dessert. Tables wee cleaned after each course with new plates and cutlery. Service was very quick despite being a full house in the restaurant. Absolutely recommended!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and we had a great experience. We were greeted by a “happy anniversary” by the hostess and waiter, along with some complimentary champagne. The service was incredible. The food and drinks were phenomenal.. Our favourite dishes were the Maitake mushroom, Euro-Bass, dry aged rib eye and the Japanese sweet potato! We cannot wait to return! I hear the soufflé at bar Banane is amazing.

We appreciated the service. A few people from the group were quite late for our reservation but the staff was accommodating. We did not feel rushed. They were patient and friendly. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. I wish we were seated by the green dining section at the front. Great section for photos. The food was impeccable. So glad our group chose to try the tasting menu instead. We got to try a variety of dishes which would've been more costly otherwise. We left satisfied.I loved the brioche buns. The waitress was kind enough to bring it over three or four times. My favourite would be be the roasted maitake mushroom, enrobass en croute and rossini. I like the pasta they brought over as well.I didnt get the chance to drink much that evening. I ordered a cocktail and a glass of the gamay. I could have done without the cocktail. Should've stuck with wine. The wine was good. I didn't dine with big drinkers. I would have order a bottle of white and red if I had a drinking buddy. My boyfriend didn't really enjoy his cocktail either.Overall, I was pleased with the experience. The tasting menu is worth it if you're dining with a group.

My favourite place on Ossington. Cute interior and friendly staff, although they seemed like they didn’t have enough waiters on a Sunday. One waiter was covering 6 tables at the front which made us wait for 15mins to order drinks first. Food came out relatively fast, so I assume they were short staffed.Food was amazing. Nice scallops and fresh oysters. Loved their foie gras - real grilled foie gras. Very nice beef tartare almost as good as the one from Cote de Boeuf. Tenderloin was perfectly cooked, not even slightly overcooked. It was perfection. The cheesey potato was apparently viral on tiktok, I found it a little heavy.Their banana cake dessert was terrific. Freshly baked, crunchy outside, so soft and moist inside, perfectly balanced with the ice cream.Overall cute and nice date spot!

Flavours masterfully balanced nestled in the heart of ossington. Top tier service.Must try apps/sides:Raw scallops with brown butter shallots.Maitake mushrooms. Mashed potato with gruyere. Roasted cabbage.Dry aged steak. The euro bass was nothing I’ve had before, such light refreshing flavours bringing out the sweetness of the fish.Their daiquiris are to die for! Our whole table got a round.Fine attention to detail from servers. My friend accidentally dropped a napkin and a new one was handed almost immediately. Servers are fun and knows the menu thoroughly giving great suggestions.

This restaurant has a very nice ambience thanks to the great decor, lively music and customer service provided. To start, I ordered the ma fraise d’amour mocktail which was delicious and then we were given complimentary bread that was a cross between Japanese milk bread and brioche which was nice. All of the dishes that we ordered were great but what stood out the most was the roasted maitake mushroom, roasted cabbage, pommes aligot and the gateau a La Banane. The roasted maitake mushroom is surprisingly rich and flavourful. The caramelization on the cabbage was next level and made me want to eat veggies for a change. The pommes aligot was incredible and probably one of my favourite sides that I have tried in general. The server described this dish as having a fondue like texture while still being light and fluffy with the Gruyère flavour very prevalent. The gateau a La Banane was extremely soft and flavourful with the caramelized bananas at the bottom and paired perfectly with the salted caramel ice cream on top. Definitely one of the better desserts that I have tried in Toronto.Overall, I would return back to this place because I like the chill vibes along with the presentation and uniqueness of each dish. I also like that this spot offers more of an experience. Definitely recommended for a special night out.
