It's the fastest CCS charger in Halifax, but I haven't got more than 100KW. The left one is throttling hard, it got stuck at 30KW...

This station has not been working for months and months as in NOT AVAILABLE so anyone giving this location a positive review anytime recently is either making it up or selected the wrong station.

Petro-Canada Charging Station
I only gave it one star because there was nothing lower. Petro Can advertises that this charger is up to 350kw. I guess they didn’t lie, 38kw is “up to”. So charging is $0.50 per minute making this really expensive at 38kw. But wait there’s more… this thing kept shutting off like my battery was full when it wasn’t!!! So this is officially the worst charging station that I have ever used.

Petro-Canada Charging Station
The charging station had been fairly unreliable before becoming non-functional in January 2022. Not sure why Petro Canada doesn’t do anything to fix it. Doesn’t seem like this is a priority for them. Just don’t rely on Petro Canada EV stations to charge your car.

One of the reasons I bought an EV is this charging station is in my neighborhood. I bought my EV a year ago, and this station has been out of order at least that long. 3 months ago I saw a technician working on it. it looked like he repaired one. I tried it out and it would not charge my car, it said I was still 3 KMs away from the station, even though I was plugged into it. I guess Petro Canada figured out they were not making any money from this station, cause they sent a tech to raise the price from $0.25/minute to $0.50/minute. But they still didn't fix it.So now it cost twice as much for nothing! LOL!

Petro canada needs to just remove these stations and give up. They've been effectively broken for well over a year. Maybe learn something about at least semi-reliable charging infrastructure from Flo.The cynic in me thinks Petro Canada wants to provide a poor and expensive charging experience to dissuade people from switching to electric vehicles.You're HURTING adoption by even trying, Petro Canada.
