*Cosumer Scam Alert -Cobourg Rust Check - Rustproofing/ Goodyear Cobourg*Anybody who has recently had their vehicle rust proofed at Cobourg Rust Check/Goodyear at 461 William St you should read this.After having my vehicle rust proofed from a referral it came to my attention a day later that the vehicle was not properly rust coated according to Cobourg Rust Check website.I phoned to complain they scheduled me in for another appointment, I physically watched them do what was supposed to be done. Then my referral had concerns about her vehicle so after I inspected it we set up another appointment and took the vehicle down.I was then asked to leave the work area not able to inspect the procedure. After confronting the owner, Ryan with my concerns he adamantly tried to justify what his procedure was which is a contradiction to what his advertisement procedure states.After a back and forth verbal confrontation Ryan himself decided with two employees that they would twist my words around and believed they were threatened because they were not winning the conversation. They then called the police. I waited patiently for the police, no charges were laid but the intimidation tactics from Ryan and his two employees using the police because they were not winning the argument was absolutely disgusting.So if anyone has had their vehicle rust proofed at this location recently and feels they have been ripped off they need to make sure they take a witness when they are confronting the owner. I would also strongly suggest to have their vehicle inspected for inadequate workmanship.Rust check claims to do all of the necessary areas but only 10% actually got done. Would definitely recommend Cobourg Rust Check. Friendly knowledgeable staff, and easy appointment booking. Had a truck and SUV done, no overspray and can tell they really took the time to do it right!

Due to a recent winter storm, I had to cancel our rust proofing appointment at another company. A couple days later, I called to rebook with the other company, they couldn’t get my truck in for 4 weeks. Therefore, I looked online and found this place. When I called here, I asked if there was any way they could fit me in since I was off work to care for my dog that was undergoing an intense surgery. He immediately fit me in the same day. Then he asked, when was my dog’s surgery? I told him it was happening as we spoke. He then asked when I needed to pick him up. Once he heard the time, he mentioned they could fit me in a bit earlier so I wasn’t rushed trying to make it to the vet. Insert gratitude here! This was amazing! As for the service completed on the truck, I was very happy! They left the truck clean and did a great job (which I also appreciated because my Tacoma is my baby lol). Overall, incredible customer service! They went above and beyond to help me out in more ways than one!

I have been coming here for the last couple years for rustproofing. Always good to deal with and they do a great job.
