Hon Tattoo Studio - Toronto

Cannot speak to the quality of work here however, I had a very negative experience with Hon Tattoo. I had made plans to get a tattoo for 1 1/2 years and had paid the deposit and left the design to the artist’s creative interpretation.As I had waited for my appointment to come, I had not been contacted until one month before my scheduled appointment where I had to reach out and I was met with vague answers to my questions and no indication of what my tattoo were to look like. I was then contacted several times leading up to the appointment asking for me to confirm which I had swiftly reaffirmed that there was no change on my side.I do not live in Toronto and I had to book my flights and accommodations accordingly to have my whole arm done over the prospective 2 weeks that I was scheduled for. Furthermore, due to the nature of my work and my current locale, I had to make serious time allocation for the sessions and I had planned my 23-24 FY around such.I was alerted 18 hours before my appointment that due to an emergency of sorts, that my appointment had to be cancelled and that my artist will be cancelling the remaining appointments I was set to have; 8 total. Now I understand things can happen and I am sympathetic towards the artist and I hope all is well however, the communication between myself and the shop could have been much better; as the way the concerns were relayed to me via phone, it seems as if they should have known the possibility of the tattoo was not certain. Had I known all the confounding factors, I would not have wasted this time waiting around.The result of my experiences with this shop has left me with significant financial loss and time loss with nothing to show for it. The shop has made no restitution and I am effectively left stranded with nothing to do while I could have used this time and money to be put towards something more productive. All in all, I would warn potential clients to be wary of making appointments in the long term and to proceed with caution accordingly.

Highly recommend going here for your tattoo design and any tattoo service. Jade was extremely professional, informative and patient throughout the entire experience. She walked through the entire process with me, including, sketching out my tattoo and making edits based on my feedback before starting the actual implementation. She was very helpful throughout this entire process and I would recommend this location to anyone.The entire staff are very friendly and welcoming to ensure you have a pleasant experience including providing guidance for preparing for your session, post care and cleaning. I cannot recommend this company enough. The entire process from booking to the session to post care was extremely pleasant.

Yesterday I had my first session (of probably 5-6 total) to complete a full sleeve. I've been to the shop twice now (including the initial consultation in December) and both visits it has been nearly spotless and the staff have been very receptive/friendly. My artist, Mint, has been really responsive and great to work with over the past few weeks while we designed the general layout of the tattoo. So far I'm really impressed with the experience and would recommend this shop (and Mint) to others.Edit: I've now completed 5 sessions on my sleeve with one more to go, and my experience has been great each time. Really happy with the process and Mint's work is top-notch, I'll definitely be going back to HoN in the future if I choose to get any more tattoos.

I got a fine line red ink tattoo here as my first ever tattoo, and it was a great experience! Though I had to wait a little longer than expected to get the stencil ready, Soolin was great. Even though we had a language barrier she made me feel very welcomed and calm. The environment at Hon is very relaxing and they even supplied me a shirt for my back tattoo in case I was uncomfortable. Will definitely go back for touchups and future tattoos :)

I waited until my mid-forties to get my first tattoo because I always had hesitation and indecision up until then. How could I choose the right design? The right artist? Would I be able to deal with the pain? Is it worth the money?I say Mint Tattoo's work and profile on Hon's Instagram page and felt like it was the right time and the right artist. I am so happy I made this choice.The whole experience, starting from my first inquiry DM to Mint, and ending with my thank you DM to her, was a dream. She was so responsive, amazing at communicating, asking the right questions, and making me feel at ease. And what a job she did. Everyone I know is commenting on how blown away they are by the quality of the work, saying things like, I've never seen a tattoo this well done before!"The studio and the team are all so friendly. It's a super chill atmosphere and nice place to hang out.My only problem now is that I want Mint to do my whole arm. My artist was Vincent and let me tell you, he was a very professional and exceptional artist. His ability to take the ideas I had for a half sleeve and precisely portray the portraits I wanted were unmatched. Vincent is one of the best in the industry to recreate family portrait tattoos. Besides the portraits, the ability to fine tune every detail on the outside of my sleeve is done exceptionally well. The service provided by Hon Tattoo is excellent and welcoming. Everyone was very friendly and I had a pleasant experience. Vincent went over and beyond to ensure I was comfortable over the 24+ hours I had with him. He ensured everything was clean before and after my sessions. I went into meeting Vincent for the first time and getting an amazing tattoo. But most notably, leaving with a good friend. If there is one shop I would highly recommend it would be Hon Tattoo. 10/10 for the service, cleanliness and customer service .

I really enjoyed my experience with Bau at this studio! Bau is super talented! I did a tattoo of my dog and it looks so real!The studio was very clean and hygienic. They were very kind and polite.Pricing was reasonable and I would come back!Definitely recommend!
