Chopstix Restaurant

This Chinese restaurant offers a welcome variety of authentic dishes at reasonable prices.Diners are presented with a detailed menu that's mostly in Chinese, plus a one-page, two-sided laminated pictorial menu seemingly aimed at non-Chinese customers.When I stopped in on a recent Friday evening, there was a slightly chaotic air as staff worked quickly and cheerfully to keep up with a full house. Most of the other customers were young Asians, presumably students at CBU.The laminated menu includes a number of dim sum-style dishes, of which I had two: pork sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves, and steamed pork buns. The sticky rice was particularly good. With tip, and complimentary green tea, the tab came to $15.Chopstix is located on Townsend St., across from the credit Union, in a spot I've come to regard as the Bad Karma Building, since so many eateries have gone there to die. I hope Chopstix will prove an exception.It's wonderful to see so many new restaurants featuring authentic international cuisines popping up in Sydney. This is a promising addition to the roster.

Not only is the food delicious! But the owners are just the nicest people you'll ever meet! They have a large selection of authentic Chinese food. The important part of that sentence is authentic. This isn't your typical Cape Breton" Chinese food

Top notch Dim Sum. Certainly will be making return trip very soon. Must work my way through this incredible menu.

My boyfriend and I visited Chopstix for the first time in late January 2021. We had heard about this restaurant, and that they prepared authentic Chinese dishes - definitely not the average Canadian-Chinese restaurant that most people are used to. Well, my palette is not very cultured, but the food was absolutely delicious. Just delicious. And the portions were huge! My partner and I split two dishes between us, and had enough leftover to take home for another meal. More than that, the staff are very kind and friendly, and the chef made a point of coming out to ensure that we were enjoying our meal. Again, this is not a Canadian-Chinese restaurant, so if you’re looking for dishes tailored to the Western palette then this isn’t the place for you. However, if you’re looking for an authentic Chinese dining experience, then this is definitely the place! Sydney is lucky to have this restaurant, and I feel that more people should give it a try. Personally, I can’t wait to go back!

I’m a frequent visitor in this diner, their food is absolutely amazing and one of kind. I can tell that the manager and all the waiters are doing the best they can to try to meet the customers’ needs. Especially during rush time, things might get a little hectic but pls do show some empathy and respect of their effort here!

Very authentic Chinese food. My favourite restaurant in Sydney, environment is really nice and with good service as well

We had hope that finally there was a GOOD Chinese place...Food not great and not worth the price. Only one dish comes with noodles and there was 6 pieces of meat, a few green pepper and carrots. The other one was only meat and some kind of mushrooms for $22. We wanted Dim Sum and they said we don't have them cause the factory is not working with Covid... Which means they don't make them and they probably come from China...

We just had dinner there, the service was excellent and the host was very pleasant.The Food was amazing, we didn't know exactly what to order being our first time there but The staff made Excellent suggestions.I would highly recommend Chopsticks if you're looking fresh authentic Chinese food. We had the spicy deep-fried chicken and the spicy griddle tentacles of squid.Can't wait to go again.

Delicious, authentic Chinese food. Excellent service, Food cooked to order with fresh vegetables and tasty meats. Perfectly spiced. Also offer variety of sushi rolls, made to order and attractively presented.A welcome addition to the Sydney eating experience.
