We have been customers for a long time with our dog and come for the same trim every 6 weeks. My spouse asked what the difference was between a full groom and a trim, to which he was told a full groom would be a shave and not recommended for his type of coat. No problem, and we continued and booked what we always do. Next time we were charged $50 dollars more. When I inquired why, I was informed it was because when we dropped him off we said he was getting the usual and they screwed up and booked us for a full groom. We didn’t give 24 hours notice to change the booking, so we had to pay the full price of the service that he didn’t receive because they made a booking error. I explained that we book the same thing every 6 weeks, I was told that the error was ours and that we would not be reimbursed. I explained that there was an inquiry into the different services but that it was never booked as it was not recommended. Again, I was told we were wrong and should have changed the appointment upon receiving the confirmation email. When you make the same appointment every 6 weeks, you don’t read the email in complete detail, it’s a reality and this is just bad business. Very, very bad business! You have lost a loyal customer because you could not accept that a booking error was made on your part. We have made sure to let all of our friends in the doggie community know about our experience and will absolutely never recommend your salon again.Edit after Blue dogs reply:Owner seems to be argumentative and unable to accept responsibility for their mistakes. This seems to be trend after reading other reviews.

This place is amazing.My 10 year old rescue had never been to the groomers. Blue Dog Grooming was so good with her! She was totally calm and relaxed when I came and got her, and she looked beautiful. I feel the groomer went over and above and I am very happy with the result. They are very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to groom my dog. Thank you Blue Dog Groomers! We will be back.

Love the staff here, always so friendly. My dog never seems stressed when she gets dropped off and she always comes back looking super cute and tidy! Extended hours is also a bonus. Highly recommend!

The grooming is done expertly and quickly. The staff are courteous and responsive. I have dealt with Alex predominantly and she is excellent. Know the dog and is able to discern changes

After conversing through email, I booked an appointment for grooming at 400vpm Friday. I show up, and to my surprise they missed scheduling Theo. The staff apologized that they missed the appointment and made me feel like I had messed up. No offer of rescheduling or tryingf to fit him in.

These are not professional groomers. I booked via email a full groom for my dog, Rex. I explained that my dog doesn't let me cut his nails due to previous trauma and that they were overgrown but I was willing to come every 2-3 weeks until his nails were at a reasonable level. I also explained how Rex is not aggressive (never bit anyone) and has been groomed before so aside from being anxious/scared, he would be fine with a professional, as he's been to one in the past. I left Rex there only to come back in less than an hour, where I was told they didn't even attempt to cut his nails. They said they tried to muzzle him (?) but that didn't work, whatever that means. Rex is an extremely loving dog. They did not even try to help him out, when they can clearly see his nails are overgrown and uncomfortable. I asked to stay with Rex as it was his first time back in a salon, and they said no. Why can't an owner be in the room with their own dog? Makes me wonder what goes on when they're left alone. Again, these are professional groomers refusing a basic service. A service they do countless times every single day.Besides that, Rex was still wet when I picked him up. His left ear has some weird residue in it (he's NEVER had this before), so I'm not sure what products they used but it was the same night he got groomed by Blue Dog. For such an expensive service, you'd think they would actually put in the effort and at least TRY (not a single nail was touched). Whoever was at the front till, had an attitude and couldn't even look me in the eyes. No mention of scheduling another appointment, a discount, etc. She actually suggested I take my 8, almost 9 year old dog to get sedated once a month at the vet's office...what a joke. This goes to show their lack of ability, empathy and overall experience.Save yourself the headache and money and and take your pets to a respectable and capable establishment. I wouldn't recommend anyone take their pets here.

My Pomeranian has been coming here since she was born and just finally brought my newest puppy! My newest puppy ellie was beyond repair. The mattes were SO bad, couldn’t see properly etc. we were at a loss because this poor girl hated to be brushed and we could tell it was painful. We knew where we had to go lol. Brought ellie for her first appointment today, I was a bit nervous because I KNOW brushing hurts, let alone a possible shave. She came home with that shave, a good attitude, and putting my heart at ease. Seeing my fur baby like this wasn’t easy, to then have her transformed in an hour is unreal!!! Not only does ellie look fabulous but she’s pain free, matte free, and ready to become a regular at blu!!! Never once have they let me down, leaving my pups gorgeous. But helping ellie not only ‘look good’ , but feel good is everything to me. The best!!!

My wife took 2 of our three dogs in this morning, (Teddy and Sophia)No problems with Teddy but for Sophia they couldn’t even manage to touch her….Sophia is about 9 months old and has been to a groomer at least twice (first time at this place)They claim she was jumping around and they couldn’t contain her to trim around her face. This dog has had zero problems with other groomers but this place couldn’t handle her and refused her within 5 mins.There was zero effort put into this and 3 of the 4 groomers were eating lunch right there so they wouldn’t help.Frustrating to go to so called ‘professionals’ and have them give up within 5 minutes.I would look into retraining your staff as I’m baffled at this decision lol
