Shoppers Drug Mart

If you have the option to go to a different shoppers I recommend that! The store is well stocked for the most part, they don't seem to get as much seasonal stuff as compared to others. Their seasonal section at this day is filled with paper towel rolls to look full, while the other shoppers on Algonquin and beer store, is and has been full back to back from each holiday. This store is also kept very clean and uncluttered. However, the staff are never very helpful or seem very happy. I also did not feel very covid safe during my most recent visit (Jan 2022). Can't seem to track anyone down if you have questions in specific areas such as make up, hair, etc. I approached the post office lady to ask a question and she was there not wearing her mask... The self serve cashes are not ready yet, and there was still only one cashier. While I know it's often only one cashier, typically back up is called when the line is busy. Instead, at this location the line continued to grow as the one single cashier took and developed someone's passport photo, then thinking we were finally moving the line, the next person needed assistance with missing optimum points and senior discount. Other employees walked by and did not help or offer to get help, and when the cashier finally seemed to ask for help over the speakers, it was only to have the manager help with the missing points situation. The manager then continued to see the line and take her time deciding to open a second till. When she did is when I really noticed the lack of care for Covid. They did not say anything to the man waiting for points to be fixed to wear his mask, and when I was done paying she immediately called upon the next person to the cash before even letting me grab my items which put me and the other customer within inches of each other.I will likely not return and continue to go to my usual shoppers on the corner of Algonquin and Theriault (by the beer store) it's typically the busiest but I'm reassured why now!

Time and time again your staff mess things up. Instead of owning it, you blame my doctor saying he must not have sent my rx in. Today, my wife has been at your location since 9am when my prescription was supposed to have been ready as it was sent to you yesterday. Your excuse is that he didn't clarify dose. I was sitting next to him when he submitted it showing the dose. After today I am switching over to Walmart. Shoppers will never get my business again. And ill be submitting a complaint to the practitioners institute. I hope anyone seeing this wisens up and switches too. Clearly after reading all of these reviews there is a huge issue. Don't you dare suggest I call your lame 800 line. If you cared at all, you'd treat your customers with more respect and dignity.

Nothing but issues trying to get a prescription.Staff is extremely unhelpful.Constantly Sends out notifications when a prescriptions are ready and when you go to pick them up it’s not.Constant issues with even trying to get prescriptions refilled. Will be changing pharmacy’s.Don’t recommend 681 Algonquin shoppers at all.

Nothing but hassles when trying to renew my prescriptions. Their automated phone service is constantly down as well as their wifi When calling the pharmacy the phone rings forever and you can't get a response or you get a busy signal. The staff tries their best with what they are working with but it's a constant struggle.Get it together Shoppers!

This Pharmacy has the absolute WORST customer service. Every time I go and get a prescription, whoever is working the counter is absolutely miserable. Went there to get a prescription for my six month old and they told me they didn’t have the medication. Instead of helping me out by calling the other Pharmacys to see if they had it, they said it was up to me and sent me on a wild goose chase to find it myself. Do yourself a favor and do not go here!!!

I have nothing but issues with the pharmacy at this location. I am on permanent disability but they have issues adding my coverage every single time, even when it’s already in their system. Every time I request delivery they don’t send it and I have to call multiple times to get it delivered. They never answer the phone and when they do, they hang up. Completely unprofessional, unorganized, and never doing their due diligence.

Thorough responsible pharmacy manager.. & the same energy rubs off to everyone working in this pharmacy..The manager helped my family with the medical insurance knowledge and addressed queries w.r.t some medicines very accurately.Happy patient is half the recovery.....

We were there to take photos for ID, there was a young lad at cash that took our pictures, his supervisor was quite vocal that she was over it and was going to loose it on someone and proceeded to leave the young lad high and dry as there was a line up at cash. We waited an hour and half to get photos cut and paid for. The supervisor should be replaced and have a competent person put in her place as she should never speak to customers as she did and not help her fellow employer. Would like a manager to call me in regards to this. Please reply to this so we may resolve this.

This pharmacy does not call when your prescription is ready. Then finally when you go to see if it's ready, the pharmacist leaves you waiting for a consultation and then impatiently waits for your questions. He doesn't even look at the medication you have before answering a serious question and then attempts to make a joke. I'm not even sure what to believe about how to take my medication. Definitely not a professional atmosphere. It makes me sad that I trust Google to answer my questions accurately more than I trust a real life pharmacist.
