Icelynd Skating Trails

A great place to spend time with family and friends. Over 2km of icy trails, cozy bonfires, benches etc.At first I thought it's a bit too pricey but taking into account how much they are affected by whether conditions and amount of maintenance required I think it's reasonable.

Visited on a Saturday evening to enjoy a skate below the twinkling lights. The ice, in Canal terms, was good to poor. Some patches were very rough across the entire width and it was hard to see the surface with the coating of snow (even with the lights and my headlamp). They boast 3km of trails but it only takes about 10 minutes to skate the loop (I'm not a fast skater). We were in disbelief to arrive at the firepit at the top of the trail so quickly, assuming it would take a while to reach it.At the top of the trail there's a small loop in a field that was very rough as though it hadn't been groomed at all that day. That felt like a last-minute attempt to extend the length. The hum of generators kind of kills of the vibe of the place. I did enjoy smelling like a campfire when I got home, the firepits are cozy.Overall I was pretty disappointed, especially for $20pp I expected a surface that was smoother so I could enjoy the scenery and not be watching out for treacherous spots. I even fell and I haven't fallen on ice in years. I really wanted to enjoy it more considering the Canal is endangered and Icelynd is close to home. Oh well. I won't be going back.

Rented the ODR for my hockey team, then they all skated the trails after. Awesome staff, awesome experience and the kids got to meet Chris Neil!

Wow! Definitely *the best* skating trail due to its proximity to the city and the quality of the ice (having a couple real Zamboni's sure does the trick). Beautiful forest,nice lights in the evening, great fire pits not only at the beginning but half way as well, tons of parking, places to sit, really great looking hockey rink on site as well. We'll be back for sure!

The atmosphere is pleasant and the skating trail in the middle of the forest is beautiful, but the ice is very badly maintained, it is dangerous in some places, and the trail itself is pretty small. For the price, 20 $, the many skating trails in the forest on the Quebec side are much better maintained for the same price. Also, they say on their website that the whole trail is lit, but only the entrance is lit, then the lights after the entrance are off, even when it's dark. So don't come without a flashlight.

Loved loved our evening here! My kids are begging to go back! The place is magical, we went around 4:30 so we can get both daylight and the lovely fairy lights.. the staff are very nice, I had an issue with my ticket and the guy at the front was super kind and said I trust you and let me in. There is a bonfire which adds warmth and lovely atmosphere. Everyone was happy and having fun! They have a confession stand, their hot chocolate was delicious.. we honestly had an awesome time and can’t wait to come back!

Awesome skating trail. Ice was smooth and not bumpy. Was not over crowded. Lighting was amazing and fire pits to keep you warm. Food is a bit pricey though.

Beautiful network of skating pathways. I went at night and while I'm not much of a skater, I enjoyed doing a social, winter activity and the light were beautiful. The rink was very well-maintained and easy for the amateur skater to get around on :) in addition to the lights, they also have campfires and hot chocolate chalets to take a break and warm up at.

I and my son went here last year and we love it! I don't skate but they have a pvc for me to hold on.Friendly staff and environment! It's good for family, friends and if your looking for a place for date this is best! Love the place and highly recommended!

It was a very good experience overall. Loved the scenic trail and the magic ambiance. Took away one star because parts of the trail were very rough and could have used a Zamboni and because there was nowhere to put our shoes/bags other than under/around the benches.
