Kenko Sushi Kingston

Awesome service. I tried the veggie bento, just as good as expected, nothing too special. There is dessert after the meal which is very kind of them.

Only the best memories at Kenko. The servers and chefs are incredibly warm and welcoming. The relaxed atmosphere and subtle music is perfect for pleasant conversations. To top it all off, the food is exquisite. I think this is the one restaurant that truly reminds me of home.

A great place for a romantic interlude for two. Fresh and generous portions. I normally don't give 5 stars, but kenko gets 5 for the service. Our server was patient, kind, and recommended safe things to eat for someone with shellfish allergy. Hubby and I will definitely will be returning!

wow. lovely little place. food was fresh. I love that the special rolls have loads of filling but not tons of rice and are small enough to actually be bite size. portion size was great. James was a very friendly server. He brought me extras like salad and noodles and even a little dessert all comp. wow. above and beyond and also place is very clean!

The food here is great, but it's the service that really makes the experience one of the best I've had in Kingston. Everyone working there is very friendly and professional. They know the menu inside and out, and were happy to provide recommendations.The sushi was really fantastic, and the teriyaki meals were just as enjoyable. I had the salmon teriyaki, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes grilled salmon. Someone else in my party had the chicken teriyaki, and they loved it too.The location might not be the most attractive in town, but once you're inside you immediately forget about that. The decor is subtle and tasteful. I'll definitely be visiting this place again!

The food at Kenko was delicious. Great sushi place in the West End. We just found the prices a little high for what you get.

This is quality over quantity. If you enjoy great fresh tasting sushi and associated dishes, this is the best in Kingston in my opinion... A little pricier than others but again, the quality and flavour is incredible. I love the Bayridge roll specifically!

We ate some sushi and we found it very good! I think the only thing that I didn't like was the cucumber but we didn't tell at the waiter to remove it from our dishes! The service was good and precise! The waiter was really nice!

In comparison to other Japanese food restaurants in the city, I feel that this one is slightly more expensive.To me price doesn’t matter unless the quality of food and service say otherwise.However, the past couple of times (One dine in and one take out) my food has been lukewarm. Which is irritating because when your hungry at the end of a long day, all you want is a hot meal.

So, Kenko Sushi is my favourite sushi restaurant in Kingston and I just wanted to share today’s experience. I was there today to enjoy the lunch special, and wow, what a feast I had! I chose the teriyaki and sushi bento box. It comes with Miso soup, salad, rice as well as the bento box which has 4 pieces of sushi, 5 pieces of tempura and teriyaki salmon (you could also get chicken or beef I believe) on a salad of sorts. All this for $12.50! Wow! To top it off, the staff also included a bowl of edamame on the house as well as a puffed cream pasty each for myself and my partner for free as well as a little desert! The kindness and great service of the staff at this establishment is second to none! The food is delicious and it’s a fabulous deal. I typically am a veggie eater but at a sushi restaurant I just have to have a little fish sometimes and all the dishes I had today were wonderful. Even though I was super-full I also ordered the green tea ice cream as it is my fave at Japanese restaurants and it was very good as well. They have a special right now for a scoop of ice cream for just $1, can’t beat that! My partner ordered the spicy chicken on rice that was on the lunch special and really enjoyed it as well. He said that it starts out kind of spicy then gets progressively spicy throughout the time you’re eating it until it is, as he says “magma hot” lol. He likes spicy though so he enjoyed it and said the chilled puffed pastry was exactly the thing to counteract the spiciness at the end. His meal also came with miso soup, salad and rice and the whole thing was $10! We both left very full and satisfied! I highly recommend this place, everything about it is wonderful! Beautiful ambiance in lovely decor as well. It is a must-visit place in Kingston!
