I recently bought a Southland Dump Trailer and I love it. It needed a small adjustment that required some touch-up paint. The dealer I bought the trailer from wasn't the most helpful so I've been working directly with James Salter and he's been awesome. He's really gone out of his way to make sure I as a customer I've been taken care of. Great customer service.

I used a Southland trailer on my latest project and the construction and the durability of the materials used to make the trailer was exceptional! Even in the wind we have in southern Alberta the trailer doors were held securely open while loading and unloading my materials and tools.

Purchased SL280 HD, have put it to work for a month now:-Cold welds on loading ramp brackets-2k drop legs for 10k ramps means they bend and jam in the holder the first time you use them-Loose bolts on hydraulic drop leg-The thing drags on the ground when you dump-had to cut around the tarp roller keeper for it to work-Box is off center, left side tire sidewall rubs when you turn-Door latch tube falls out once the self tapping screw, which is the only thing holding it in, falls out-If you lower the box with low battery or if some dirt gets stuck in it, the vent cap of the hydraulic tank will pop off and send hydraulic oil all over.Called Southland, offered voicemail of sales manager. Called again, offered voicemail of warranty manager. Emailed company, no response.I have had 2 other brand dump trailers and they have each been a way better experience than the Southland.Hydraulic vent issue, cold welds, inadequate drop legs and the loose bolts on the tongue jack are unacceptable and create serious hazards.

I purchased a new dump trailer. The brakes failed within the first year causing an accident. Southland would not stand behind the warranty, and would not provide any help in repairing the trailer. For customer service, I give them one star. Other than that, I really liked the trailer, but haven't been able to use it now for over a year. I haven't even been able to get them to sell me the new axels that I need to put it back together. It bent both axel spindles when it turned over with a load on it.

Invading the united states with cheap trailers. Don’t buy southland trailers through auction since you can’t go to Canada for warranty work. How would you feel if we sent US built models to Alberta and sold for cheaper too.DONT BUY SOUTHLAND Stop Filling Rb Auctions with your junk

Southland trailers/ Royal Cargo make an awesome product and go above a beyond on their engineering and building process. I have been picking up and delivering their trailers for years.
