Staffed national park campground that has hot showers, firewood, and ranger led events. They have both reservation and first come first serve availability. Some sites are on the river. Some sites are on top of each other. This is actually the closest I have ever seen campsites, there is no trees or vegetation separating some of the sites (59)

This is the largest vehicle-accessible campground in Yoho National Park and it is an embarrassment. Many parts of it are visibly falling apart and maintenance appears nearly non-existent. The bathrooms nearest our campsite were closed the entire time (and from other reviews at least several days prior to our arrival) due to a tree-falling hazard. Does Parks Canada not own a chainsaw? This means almost every other campsite must use the new washroom and shower block. There are several individual shower rooms (this is one of the few good things one can say) but only 2 toilet stalls (in the men’s room) and 2 sinks, the latter with a trickling water pressure. The 2 outside sinks are well-placed for washing up dishes - but there is only ice cold water (from the hot and the cold taps).A park as magnificent as Yoho deserves a better campsite where a camper’s basic needs can be met.The location is very convenient for access to Yoho NP and the Lake Louise area of Banff NP; the trains are noisy at night but ear plugs deal with that pretty well.

Enjoyed our stay in these beautiful surroundings with mountains and rivers. Perfect for exploring Yoho National Park and even Lake Louise. Washroom facilities were new and well maintained. You could even charge your phone in lockers/boxes at the washroom.

Nice location to get to the attractions at Lake Louise. Showers and toilets are clean, and wood is available (with a fire permit). Surrounded by the mountains, the view to wake up to in the morning is amazing. The proximity with the railway can, on the other hand, be an inconvenience.

The shower facilities were good but our pitch (83) had no privacy at all, parked up right next to other campers. It was ok for 1 night but we would have been disappointed if staying longer. If privacy is a concern for you I would recommend picking a spot in a different part of the campground. Others have commented about the train noise at night, we did notice it during the day but not at night - possibly because we were in a van. I think in a tent it might have been pretty loud.

We had a booking the day the opened end of May 2022. Park is in the middle of the nature, no electricity points across all the park, in our case water was non potable yet and we were sorrounded by snow. Between main road and the campground there is a dump water station a bit hidden. The experience is awesome, you have the river near to your place, very quiet campground, wood available and well cared area. We stayed 2 nights and was one of the best campground we stayed in Canada. Really recommendable!

Great place to camp and to be near mountains. One thing to keep note is the sound of train which sometimes wakes you up.

This place was phenomenal! The rushing river right beside our campsite turned into white noise as we slept. Yes, we did hear a train but nothing that seemed too disruptive. The facilities were fantastic! Parks Canada sure knows how to maintain a site. Firewood for us all chopped up,bathrooms with running water and flushing toilets close by. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. The little village of Field doesn't offer much for groceries so make sure to he stocked up.
