For the past number of years, I have been a patron at Marda Loop barbershop as the quality of the service is impeccable, but most importantly great staff and a welcoming atmosphere.When I first moved to Calgary from Ontario, 10 years ago, it was a challenge to find a barbershop who were familiar with cutting Afro/Caribbean hair. Even if one barbershop had provided such service, it was limiting. As a person of colour, getting a haircut became a barrier.However, all that changed when I met Danny, as every time I went for a haircut appointment it was well and above great service. He truly took my haircuts to whole another level. What started out as a regular haircut appointment, soon became a hair therapy session. Yes, he is that good!Over the years, Danny has taken the time to perfect his skills particularly cutting Afro/Caribbean hair, as I have had a number of hair styles, and each time I presented a new concept, he was always willing to listen and be able to deliver without any failure.What started out as barber to client relationships, has now transitioned to friends catching up with each other. As Danny is personable , cares about his clients and always looking to meet the visions of his clients as well as great conversationalist.In short, you won’t regret arranging an appointment with him. So pick up the phone, and book an appointment with him as soon as possible, your hair will thank you later.

I have been a regular of Danny for many years now and I consider him my only barber for life. Over the last 6 years, I have grown my hair out to past my lower back and Danny was the one who cut it off for me such that I could donate it. He has also been the one who has given me various incredible haircuts time and time again. When I first met him, I had no idea how to classify a good vs. a bad haircut but over time he has been patient with me and has explained on numerous occasions what the end result of a good haircut" is. However

Jozeph is a really good barber and is knowledgeable with cutting curly and Afro textured hair. I feel comfortable going and talking to him with what I need and if it works or doesn’t, and he’s got an interesting background story as well. Would recommend!

I have been coming to the Marda Loop barber shop for over four years now. I can say it is one of the best I have ever been to. Danny is amazing! He is talented, professional, and has a great personality. I now recommend this barber shop to all my friends and anyone who is looking for an amazing cut for a great price!

Listen; this is the place! I have lived in Canada for 12 years and been to countless barbers - but this place does it. After I grew my beard out; every place I went to ruined it or just didn’t know what to do. Jozeph is an artist - his skill set is unmatched. He takes his time - he makes you feel comfortable, does it with precision, listens to what you want and makes sure you look like a million bucks. Have a beard? .. want it trimmed ? No better place than this.

Great stylists & prices! There's even a few that are quite good with kids as well as mixed & curly hair. Amazing selection of products. Love the Valhalla Beard Conditioning Butter! Smells great, Really keeps the frizz down, and even helps shape fringes. Parking is Quite tight though.
