Egg Fountain
This fountain is always a pleasure to observe, and has led me to many quiet contemplations of our place in the cosmos, of humanity's ultimate purpose, and of the meaning of art itself. Stone has existed for eons before any living thing, and yet this rock was shaped into an egg, that perpetual symbol of new life. The artist's act of creation turned what was cold and lifeless into the image of the living, mirroring our own struggles to bring something new into this world. And yet, our efforts appear ultimately futile, as the egg is still made of stone and not transformed into the living, symbolized by egg being broken. Anyone who has encountered opposition to bringing their own visions and dreams into reality will be able to relate to this attempt of creating new beauty into the world being crushed and broken.Upon further inspection, you will see that water comes from the break in the stone. Thus, the artist's work is not in vain, as we might first suspect, but harnesses and directs the force of water, which has existed as long as stone, yet gives life to the billions and billions of species on this planet without striving. Much like Moses bringing forth water from the rock, the ultimate act of creation is accomplished not by forcing a frozen image of life onto a harsh natural world, but by embracing and working with the creative force that flows through us and throughout the world.10/10 I would visit again.

Resembles nothing of what an ACTUAL egg looks like.Have you ever bitten into an egg and water came out? I don't think so.Poor representation of eggs, I wish I could give it lower than a 1.
