Richard's Deep Sea Fishing | Opening July 2, 2023!

Lobster roll is really good, fish and chips and chicken finger are also really good. Great view and there is a second floor for more seated place. I recommend this place !

We booked a trip for 8 people. We were the first booking for the 5.30pm charter on that day. When we turned up on the day they had filled the boat with another group. The worst thing was they tried to claim that the mix up was our fault even though our booking was clearly recorded in the reservation book (with the relevant details) and it was confirmed to us at the time of booking we were the only group booked on the boat. I asked to speak to the Manager, Chase and he refused to take responsibility for bumping us from our booking.It is clear that a larger group turned up on the day which would fill the boat and so they bumped our group despite the fact that we were booked and had been booked for several days. They didn’t even phone us to let us know.The customer service experience was the worst I’ve had on PEI. We had friends that had travelled a long way specifically for this trip and relatives visiting from Europe.I’m local to Covehead and have often gone out deep sea fishing from Covehead harbour but after this experience I won’t be back.There are lots of other deep fishing trips available on PEI and I’d highly recommend that if you want to go deep sea fishing pick any Charter other than Richards.

Highly underrated!! Best bang for the buck worth every penny we always catch something with these guys! 3rd time in 15 years and they never disappoint. Took my son and my dad used to go when I was a kid. Staff are beyond superior and know where the fish are. Get to keep what you catch! Free admission into nation park with booking we went fishing and the ladies went to beach. Awesome awesome awesome. Will go again next time in PEi

Fantastic fishing as always! Great crew, lots of fish coming in, safe practices, kid friendly, and fun. There's a reason Richards has been around for so long, one of the best charters on the island.

Best lobster roll out of 5 or 6 I had while in PEI. Lots of well cooked and seasoned lobster in a soft toasted and buttered bread. Yum! Mmmmm. Drooling just thinking about it.

I originally made reservation with another top rated deep sea fishing company on PEI that's most rates and popular. The day before we grabbed a bite at Richard's, and since we were so close (Richard's Deep Sea fishing is next door) we asked if Richard's Deep Sea fishing still had spots for us to hop on last minute and off we went. It was only five of us plus Nick and his crew (Rodny). We had a great time. Nick and Rodny were also very personable. Now here comes the difference. I didn't know how good Richard's were untill next day we went to the other deep sea fishing as we originally booked. So the next day we went, it was completed packed, two boats started the same time and fifteen on each boat. That one is also further away from the open water, it took almost 30-40 mins to actually get to the first spot where we could start fishing mackerel... Then moved to another few spots to try cod. Towards the end another 30 sprint to get back to dock. During the fishing, they were too busy to look after fifteen customers... They were still good however it was like a fast food service...The experience we had with Richard's the day before, was completely different and much better. Felt like we chartered the boat. Nick and Rodny and rest of us were like fishing together with some old friends only it was the first time we met each other. I would give Richard's a full five star without doubt. I hope this helps.

Amazing experience with Father and Son team Pat and Chase. We chose the later afternoon spot and treated to the sunset. Lots of Mackerel and Cod was caught. Very attentive service to make sure all passengers were set up and quick to attend when fish on ! Great with kids…made sure they were catching! Crew cleaned and filet so everyone left more than enough fish to enjoy.

Our family visited PEI from Hamilton and Six Nations, Ontario. We brought our Grandfather as he is from the island. We went out for dinner with local family to Richards and 13+ people were happy with their meal and raved about the fries! 6 of us booked a fishing trip - “Chase n Fish” with an amazing father and son team and it was our favourite part of our week long vacation in PEI. We all felt safe, made new friends and had so much fun fishing for Cod and Mackerel. It was honestly the best experience we could have imagined! The team helped us fish at any level and provided the best friendly service. This was one of my Dads bucket list items and he had the most amazing time! It felt like we were just fishing with friends and we will be back next time we visit PEI. Amazing job, Nya:weh/Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful time father and son, caught a lot of fish. The boat crew was fantastic.
