Kevin Pepper Photography

I have had the pleasure of being on two tours with Kevin - one in the Yukon and one in Mongolia. I would highly recommend booking a tour with him. He is incredibly familiar with the places he leads tours so he knows all the good spots to go to get the photos you want. He is very knowledgeable about all camera brands and can help you if you have any issues with settings or functions.Kevin is extremely pleasant and funny. He kept the group in stitches, even when we were getting up at 4 am to go shoot sunrise or up long past midnight shooting aurora. Everyone wanted to ride in his vehicle as the mood was always very lighthearted.Since nature and wildlife photography is completely dependent on Mother Nature and sometimes luck, Kevin has a backup plan if one of the shoots got cancelled for any reason. He would lead editing classes in the hotel or a restaurant for those of us that wanted extra help with our images.I am disappointed that I cannot go on a tour with Kevin this year due to scheduling conflicts....but there's always next year!

I went on the Yukon trip to watch grizzly bears last year. I didn't know anyone, I don't know much about taking pictures but this trip was on the bucket list. I found Meunch workshops and Kevin Pepper. Kevin and Juan are probably a couple of the best photographers in Canada. After spending ten days in the Yukon with Kevin, I found him to be one of the best organizers for photography tours. He never met me but he personally called me a few weeks before and spent about an hour going over equipment and luggage details so I would be prepared for the trip. During the trip, actual issues popped up but the 8 in his group never lost a step. On the very first day, there were issues with the hotel. Kevin worked it all out. Roughing it in the Yukon is not easy, and dealing with 8 different personalities is even harder. Kevin made the whole trip a complete success. In summary, I can't express my thoughts any more strongly than if you're thinking about booking a trip with Kevin or with Meunch Workshops, you will not regret it.

I have been on 3 photography workshops of Kevin's and they were absolutely fabulous. I would highly recommend him. After traveling all the way to Mongolia with Kevin Pepper Photography, I can say, every aspect is extremely well planned, safe and very fun and exciting. If you have any doubts, ask Kevin for references. Every person on all of my trips had a fantastic time and will be back.

I've had the pleasure of traveling with Kevin on his photography tours for a couple of years now and have plans into the next two years. Why am I a repeat customer - because Kevin ROCKS! The trips I take with Kevin involve being outdoors and wild animals - completely uncontrollable circumstances but Kevin finds a way to make every trip memorable even when mother nature doesn't co-operate. I find that invaluable in a partner (and I consider Kevin and his team my vacation partners). He is flexible and work like 'a dog' to make sure that I come home with memorable shots. I highly recommend Kevin.

I had the pleasure last year of going on Kevin's photo tour of Newfoundland. It was my first time on such a tour and I did not know anyone else. That changed quickly. Kevin has a great way of making sure everyone is enjoying themselves. He goes out of his way to learn what your bucket photo list" is and makes sure he can deliver it to you. He was always in communication with the hotels and boat operators to ensure that everything would go smoothly for us. I enjoyed myself so much that I signed up for his Tanzania Trip this April and an Aurora trip to NWT next year. I am proud to call Kevin a friend and can always rely on his advice on equipment

Worst ever! If you want to book a photo tour and never hear from the Trip Leader, Kevin Pepper is your go to guy.He had no problem accepting my deposits but when it came down to getting any information with regards to booking flights, itineraries etc email messages requesting information were never returned. I finally went and did some detective work with less than a month to go before my trip to the Yukon with Kevin Pepper and found out that there was no hotel reserved (yes they knew Kevin quite well but nothing booked on the days of the trip) and the helicopter trip into Tombstone Territorial Park on the trip's scheduled days was never booked either. Only after repeated emails phone calls, messages on FB with 3 weeks left until the trip was scheduled to depart, to find out what the heck is going on did he finally decide to cancel the trip with an I'm sorry".He did refund my money and airfare (I am out 3000 air miles thanks to him!) and I was able to find a better trip during the same period. For years I had been looking for the right kind of photography adventure in Mongolia. I knew immediately from talking to Kevin that his workshop would be right for me and it was delivered on every level. This was the best combination of tons of shooting time with great subjects and also the fun time to explore and experience the country and all it has to offer.

I highly recommend going on Kevin's workshops. I have traveled to the Yukon twice with him. He is an incredibly patient and knowledgeable teacher, and gave everyone lots of individual attention with camera settings, compositions, and processing. Kevin set up crazy good opportunities to practice wildlife photography in a safe, controlled environment, as well as great, well-scouted locations to capture stunning winter landscapes. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone had everything they needed before, during, and after the workshop. And he is just a super fun person to travel with - definitely looking forward to more adventures with Kevin in the future.

I have been on several photo trips with Kevin over the past few years and have had an outstanding experience and adventure on each of them. On my last trip with him in Ontario he searched and networked with local photographers to locate where we could photograph Great Gray Owl’s. We drove for hours until we tracked one down and had the opportunity to see one of my bucket list birds.He has always gone above and beyond to deliver a once in a lifetime experience. I am looking forward to joining him again in a few weeks to travel to Tanzania for what I know will be a great adventure!
