Came here for the first time for my husband's birthday, and can I just say WOW! The service was amazing (thanks Kat), and the food was delicious. I was so excited for the créme brûle and it did NOT disappoint!!!!!!!

Was so fortunate our friends in Windsor took us here. Wow. Amazing! Truly the best bread. Great comfortable atmosphere and service. The Steak Diane was melt in your mouth delicious. The menu pricing was very appropriate as well. Two thumbs up!

Me and my boyfriend decided to come here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was wonderful, it really felt like we were fine dining. The strawberry basil mojito is by far the best cocktail I've had in a long time. The homemade bread and butter was just amazing and the salad was so light and delicious. I actually hyped myself up for a steak and misread the menu and ordered the beef stroganoff (my fault) BUT when I got my food, my goodness, it was incredible. My bf got the Tuscan chicken which was just tender and juicy. And dessert thru us over the edge of being full but we couldn't stop eating haha. Our waiter Jared was phenomenal and even recommended places to go get cocktails later in the evening. 5/5 will come back

The absolute best dining experience in windsor-essex, the freshest ingredients, intimate dining room, and knowledgeable waitstaff make for an overall dining experience that is over the top. If you want a top-notch dining experience, this is the place. A staple in windsor for over 40 years.

We had an amazing meal at the Cook Shop last night. The owner was so friendly and pleasant to speak with . He came over to our table many times to ensure we were having a great experience. You could tell that he takes great pride in his restaurant and that a lot of love goes into every plate. Servers were lovey - quick and efficient . Our food was out of this world. I had the agnolotti and my husband had the Alfredo. Dessert was also delicious. We can’t wait to visit again !

The food and the service was everything you could want it to be. Everything on the table was superb and everyone would order it all again, And probably will. The atmosphere is great for a private dinner or a group. I highly recommend it

Exquisite flavors of beautifully presented dishes....you're palette will be in heaven. The staff is phenomenal....friendly, resourceful and tentative to your needs. Highly recommend this downtown hidden gem. Thank you to all the staff for an unforgettable first time experience there....we'll be back again

Food was delicious. Hilariously the waitress only recommended the most expensive things on the menu. Of course I ordered them the lamb was delicious. And the shrimp and scallops where also very well prepared. 3 shrimp and 2 scallops. The lighting was blue and hurting my eyes so I unscrewed the light bulb and minutes later the waitress and the busboy were trying to fix it. Laughing because he had a rag to unscrew a 5 watt LED bulb. They let me keep the light out but then someone undimmed the whole restaurant. I had the gnocchi and the cheese was to die for for. So delicious. Service was on point and very accommodating. The decor was grandma 80’s style. (A bit outdated) but being a basement restaurant in a building built in 1918, they are restrained. Believe me the food and service more than make up for the decor.
