Dollarama

My most frequent place to visit for buying small stuffs.

Should be called $5ama at this point, haha but still has better priced items than many stores these days.

Big and varied with many items most other Dollarama locations WISH they sold, with isles that make the store bigger than even my own home! Recommended for sure!

Love this location! Tons of stuff available, alot more then other location!Bless!

Most of the shelves are well stocked and organized. Sometimes line ups at cash. Very conveniently located in the busy Appleby/New Street corridor.

Today my 7 year old brought a silly toy to the cash to add to my purchases The clerk scanned it but I didn’t realize it was for a cell phone which he doesn’t have. The clerk then told me to buy it anyway because he didn’t want to call somebody to the front. I said that I’m sorry but I wasn’t buying it because my son couldn’t use it. The clerk rudely snatched it off the counter and said “we are no longer friends” and then called somebody to the cash. I was so disgusted by his attitude that I left all my items on the counter and walked out. This incident occurred on Aug 25 at 5:40pm in case the manager might want to have a chat with the young man at the cash with the attitude.

I have been shopping here for years. It is well kept and the regular staff are lovely.Upon visiting 2 evening ago (Dec 16), I was in the aisle way, when a young lady employee (who I have not recognized before) was walking down the aisle way with her mask down around her neck - face uncovered, passing me by perhaps 2 feet away, and all the while shouting to another young employee on the end.I find it deeply concerning that someone would behave this way, let alone an employee of a store that has been beloved for years.

Always everything you need for your projects from baking to home improvement and they even have eye glasses so you can see what your doing ha ha. Fantastic Store I recomend a walk around you never know what you need till you see it !!

Always busy, decent sélection, always a wait to pay but it does go relatively quick most days

Let me start off by saying I worked in retail for over 6 years. It's a thankless, demanding job 365 days of the year. Dealing with the general public is not easy and most shoppers have no regard or understanding of that. The mood of at least three employees in this store made me really sad. Except for the chipper young woman at the front door, they were all out miserable.Two ladies in aisles and one at cash. That isn't a reflection of the people as much as the environment they are in.I was looking for a CD case holder. I didn't even know if that was still a thing. I asked one woman the next aisle over. She answered me, but didn't even look at me or offer to show me where the item was. I was pretty certain it wasn't there. Asked the second woman working in the actual aisle. She responded they don't have it . Not only did she not even look at me but had her back to me she walked away as she answered.I went to Burlington Mall location. Found it. Tons of people in the store, 5 people on cash, line moved like lightening, they were all in a good mood. What a difference. My point is this: energy is like a boomerang. As a retail worker I found if I smiled at a customer 99% of the time they would smile back. It was the energy I needed to get through the day. The other point is management should care about the culture of their location. There's something wrong there.Shoppers: Be kind to retail workers. Retail Workers: Your smile can difference in a person's day.
